IDEALFORCE has a Contract position available immediately for a SQL/ETL Developer to join our customer in Phoenix Arizona. This is an ONSITE position. Job Description

The SQL Developer may assist in database ETL, technical design, development, and reporting of enterprise-wide data. Using various tools, develop reports, summaries, and visual representations of data, perform statistical programming, develop databases and provide consultation and technical assistance to the business team members in order to analyze business needs and objectives.


Code, debug and/or modify new and existing applications to meet the business requirements as outlined by the Business Analysts.

Develop, enhance and implement moderately complex databases.

Create database objects such as table spaces, tables, indexes, views, stored procedures, Triggers etc.

Maintain referential integrity, domain integrity and column integrity by using the available options.

Ensure that the code is written keeping in mind any security issues such as SQL Injection.

Identify opportunities that can help improve efficiency of business processes through software enhancements.

Prepare written technical design specifications, flow charts and data flow diagrams as needed for new and existing applications.

Assist in preparing work estimates for assigned projects.

Meet required deadlines as outlined by project team and business partners.

Prepare and execute unit tests on all new and modified code.

Prepare documentation for deployment purposes and respond to any implementation issues as needed to ensure quality deliverable has been met.

Collect, compile and analyze data from various databases and perform statistical analyses.

Design, develop, test and implement ETL processes in support of business requirements.

Design, develop and test standard and/or ad hoc reports.

Qualifications

BS Degree CS or MIS or equivalent experience in related roles.

3-5 years' experience in SQL Server 2008/2012 and writing SQL-based queries.

2+ years' experience creating advanced reports using Microsoft SSRS preferably in SharePoint Environment.

2 + years of ETL programming utilizing SSIS packages preferably SSIS 2012.

Strong experience with TSQL language, writing and optimizing stored procedures, and SQL Server database development.

Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.).

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

Experience in developing, testing and supporting software applications, primarily web-based using .NET technologies.

Demonstrated aptitude towards problem identification and resolution.

Ability to follow project management practices; including agile and SCRUM methodology.

Knowledge of current Microsoft .NET technologies including C#, VB.NET, ASP.Net, and SharePoint highly desired.

Working knowledge of Team Foundation Services 2013 is preferred.

Demonstrated ability to use discretion and make sound decisions.

Ability to excel in a collaborative and distributed team environment.

Ability to work with a minimal amount of direction while being pro-active in keeping their management informed of project related issues.

Ability to work under pressure and to manage multiple projects at the same time and shift priorities quickly.

Ability to respectfully question ideas and share a point of view with others in support of the business requirements and needs.
