Job Purpose and Impact

The Settlement Specialist will support grain settlementactivities of the grain settlement process and will help execute well established customer service activities with regards to activities that are accounting focused, includingpreparation of grainsettlementdocuments, issuing payments and control and monitoring activities, as well as otherrelated duties. In this role, you will assist in achieving streamlined and optimized internal processes that promote a seamless customer experience. 

Key Accountabilities
  • Complete grainaccounting transactions to ensure timelyandaccurate processing of payments to farmersand commercialcustomers from a centralized settlement office.
  • Follow standard procedures regarding settlement transaction processing to complete an order for customer facing customer service representatives.
  • Support customer orders to prepare customer communication updates relative to grain settlements, and customer mailings.
  • Support resolution for administrative or clerical process issues that follow already defined procedures related grainaccounting transaction processing, as well as performing control and monitoring functions relative to accounts payable, accounts receivable including credit, and state & federal warehousing requirements.
  • Assist in customer account setup & modification, and cash application, assisting other co-workers as needed, as well as assisting with special projects as needed.
  • Assist in identifying potential obstacles in the settlement transaction process and work with multiple locations, origination team members, and customer facing customer service representatives to take corrective actions as directed.
  • Handle moderately complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under general supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned 
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience
  • Capable of supporting high volumes of detailed work with a great level accuracy
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply
Preferred Qualifications
  • SAP experience
  • Microsoft Suite experience
  • Salesforce experience
