Veterinary Technician Manager

BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Technician Manager with passion and the ability to help motivate, engage, and train a team of veterinary professionals. Managing non surgical service at Sandy Springs - Cardiology, Oncology, Internal Medicine, Radiology Oncology and Dermatology.

Pay: $33 - $53 / hour. This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our CareerTrax leveling system.

As a Veterinary Technician Manager, you will…

  • Demonstrate highly advanced proficiency as a Veterinary Technician or Advanced Patient Care Associate within their appropriate department and maintains all related skills and knowledge.
  • Create effective working relationships with hospital leadership to ensure standards of care are understood, effectively communicated, and delivered upon.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert and resource to Technicians and Assistants regarding daily operations, patient care, and skill development.
  • Serve as a mentor to staff by demonstrating positive work habits, effective clinical skills and business knowledge.
  • Identify conflicts in the workplace and seek assistance in resolution in order to create effective working relationships.
  • Coach staff to create a culture of strong performance and high productivity.
  • Clearly communicate with team members to ensure consistent understanding of new ideas, changes in protocol, policies, and impending changes.
  • Build positive relationships across the hospital and administration to facilitate an environment of teamwork.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Work with the Technician Training Manager to schedule ongoing training.
  • Document performance-related issues, assesses team members during annual review, and provides hospital leadership with recommendations related to performance management and discipline.
