Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity. Expected shift hours are: 8:00am-5:30pm (or until completion) Monday-Friday. These hours could be altered based on business need.

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning. Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product.

This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers. What Operations Management contributes to Cardinal Health The Manager, Warehouse Operations Outbound oversees the building's outbound processing, including picking, packing, and shipping to achieve operational efficiency and safety.

Through successful operational and people management, this job delivers on the business unit's short-term goals, improves profitability, and develops the business unit's warehouse talent. This job also responds to urgent customer needs or supply disruptions to ensure customer commitments are fulfilled. Responsibilities: Leads and directs a Supervisory team of 6 Outbound Supervisors and 90 associates.

Ensures the timely distribution and receipt of product while meeting the distribution center standards of budget, policies, procedures and quality. Leads initiatives designed to improve processes or continuous improvement projects throughout the facility. Provides leadership to the team and challenge the status quo; interact with employees on the floor and in an office setting.

Influences and understands the business and culture strategy and translates the strategy into executable initiatives for their department. Interfaces with customers and suppliers to resolve issues and participate in regularly scheduled meetings (this may include travel a few times a year). Collaborates with cross-functional teams at all levels within the organization, specifically within HR and Operations groups daily.

Cultivates positive relationships with peers and coworkers. Interviews and make hiring decisions for supervisor, lead and niche roles. Develops the supervisory and employee population, which includes training, coaching, counseling and performance appraisals.

Manages the distribution operation utilizing appropriate systems to track, analyze and improve day to day operational metrics. Holds Supervisors accountable for their respective department MBO's. Enforces Cardinal Health compliance and regulations for OSHA, DEA, FDA, state and local authorities, primary facility contact for QRA compliance.

Manages site financial metrics including profit and loss and budgets. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred 5+ years of relevant experience preferred Prior leadership experience preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience working within a warehouse (or distribution) environment preferred Inventory planning and processing experience preferred Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel (Pivot Tables and spreadsheets) Experience working within ERP's (Oracle or Manhattan) preferred Prior experience with continuous improvement projects and initiatives Adaptable to operational needs Ability to solve problems through complex scenarios and drive change What is expected of you and others at this level: Manages department operations and supervises professional employees, front line supervisors and/or business support staff Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals Ensure employees operate within guidelines Decisions have a short-term impact on work processes, outcomes and customers Interacts with subordinates, peers, customers, and suppliers at various management levels; may interact with senior management Interactions normally involve resolution of issues related to operations and/or projects Gains consensus from various parties involved Candidates who are back-to-work, people with disabilities, without a college degree, and Veterans are encouraged to apply.
