Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

A Rose Valley Management Service Technician is an essential team member who is responsible for providing excellent customer service while performing preventative and routine maintenance throughout the property grounds and in resident units. In this role youโ€™ll help deliver high-quality, hospitality-driven living experiences to our 299-unit Garden style community located in New Haven, CT.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Responsible for common area and apartment repairs (routine and preventative) in the scope of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, wall repairs, painting, plumbing and appliances.
  • Further oversight of the buildingโ€™s curb appeal though building exterior inspections, cleaning, and grounds maintenance is required.
  • Customer service and attention to detail are critical skills to ensure the satisfaction of the communityโ€™s residents.
  • Responsible for daily cleaning
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Apply preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems
  • Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
  • Able to attend team meetings, workshops and training sessions as required.
  • Will be required to be in an on-call rotation with other employees for emergency work orders.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Able to stand and walk inside and outside in all weather
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to endure walking, squatting, bending, balancing, climbing (ladders), kneeling, crawling and prolonged standing

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance, drywall, painting, and snow removal.
  • Customer service first attitude.
  • Must have reliable transportation for on-call emergencies.
  • Experience working in maintenance in an apartment community
  • On call REQUIRED
