What is a service contract?

A service contract is a formal agreement between a service provider and a client that outlines the terms and conditions for the delivery of specific services over a set period. It typically details the scope of work, payment terms, duration, responsibilities, and any warranties or guarantees. Service contracts help protect both parties by clearly defining expectations and procedures for handling disputes or changes to the agreement.

To thrive as a Service Contract Manager, you need strong contract negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills, typically supported by a background in business administration, law, or a related field. Familiarity with contract management software, CRM systems, and relevant certifications like Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) are commonly required. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities are standout soft skills for managing client relationships and resolving disputes. These skills are important to ensure compliance, optimize contract value, and maintain positive client and vendor partnerships.

How does a Service Contract Manager typically collaborate with other departments to ensure effective service delivery?

A Service Contract Manager frequently works closely with departments such as sales, operations, and customer support to coordinate contract terms, monitor service levels, and resolve client issues. Job description

SERVICE CONSULTANT

Markley Honda | Fort Collins, Colorado

Tired of Chaos, Drama, and Feeling Like You’re Always Behind?
Come work somewhere process matters, teamwork matters, and people actually care about doing things the right way.

THE MISSION & THE TEAM

Markley Honda has proudly served Northern Colorado since 1936. We are a family-owned dealership built on relationships, integrity, and community.

Our mission is simple:

To make a profound positive impact on the lives of our clients, team members, and community by serving all with uncompromised integrity, empathy, and excellence.

We are looking for a Service Consultant who wants to be part of a high-performing team that genuinely works together.

Not a “sink or swim” culture.
Not a toxic culture.
Not a place where communication falls apart and everyone blames each other.

We want professionals who care about doing things right. People who take ownership. People who communicate well. People who understand that trust is built in the little moments.

WORLD WE ENVISION

We believe dealerships can be different.

Less chaos.
Less ego.
Less finger-pointing.

More teamwork.
More accountability.
More trust.

We believe clients deserve honest communication and a service experience that feels organized, transparent, and genuinely caring.

And we believe great employees deserve to work somewhere they are respected, supported, and proud of the team around them.

That’s the environment we work hard to create every single day at Markley Honda.

HOW WE WORK

We communicate directly and respectfully.
We hold ourselves accountable.
We work as one team.

We believe process creates consistency.
Consistency creates trust.
And trust creates lifelong clients.

THE CALL OUT

This role is not for everyone.

If you struggle with follow-through, dislike accountability, or prefer working independently without communicating with your team, this probably won’t be the right fit.

But…

If you take pride in staying organized under pressure…

If you genuinely enjoy helping people…

If you thrive in fast-paced environments and love the satisfaction of keeping everything moving…

You may be exactly who we’re looking for.

THE ROLE

SERVICE CONSULTANT

As a Service Consultant, you are the bridge between our clients and our service team.

You will help create an experience that feels organized, professional, transparent, and caring from start to finish.

You’ll manage communication, coordinate repairs, quote jobs accurately, and help ensure every client feels informed and taken care of throughout the process.

This is a fast-paced role that requires strong communication, attention to detail, multitasking ability, and a calm, solutions-oriented mindset.

YOU’LL LOVE:

  • Helping clients feel heard, informed, and cared for
  • Managing multiple moving pieces while staying organized
  • Working with a team that supports one another
  • Building trust through honest communication
  • Creating clarity in situations that could otherwise feel stressful
  • Being part of a respected, family-owned dealership with deep community roots

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet and assist service clients professionally and warmly
  • Correctly quote and explain recommended repairs and maintenance
  • Maintain consistent communication throughout the repair process
  • Coordinate effectively with technicians and internal teams
  • Manage workflow and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Handle warranty and service contract submissions accurately
  • Ensure documentation and repair orders are completed properly
  • Deliver a high-level customer experience from start to finish
  • Help contribute to a positive, accountable, team-oriented culture

ABOUT YOU

You are someone who:

  • Takes ownership without needing to be micromanaged
  • Communicates clearly and proactively
  • Can handle a heavy workload without becoming overwhelmed
  • Thrives in structured, process-oriented environments
  • Understands the importance of follow-up and follow-through
  • Treats clients and teammates with respect
  • Brings positivity and professionalism to work each day
  • Works well under pressure and adapts quickly
  • Values teamwork over ego
  • Wants to grow personally and professionally

Automotive service advisor experience is preferred.
Experience with warranty or service contract administration is a plus.

WHY MARKLEY

  • Family-owned since 1936
  • Strong reputation in Northern Colorado
  • Team-oriented culture
  • Leadership that genuinely cares
  • No-drama environment
  • Opportunity for long-term growth
  • A workplace built on integrity, empathy, growth, excellence, and positive impact

BENEFITS

  • Competitive compensation
  • Health benefits
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Paid time off
  • Supportive leadership team
  • Ongoing growth opportunities
  • A team you’ll actually enjoy working with

If you’re looking for a place where your work matters, your team matters, and the way you treat people matters…

We’d love to meet you.

Apply today and experience the Markley difference.
