We offer a large and desirable inventory of new Mack and Volvo heavy-duty trucks and all makes of used trucks. Our full-service line-up also features quality parts, state-of-the-art service, collision centers and fuel, leasing/rental, financing, and insurance. Our locations are authorized service centers for Mack, Volvo, Cummins, Meritor, Eaton and Fuller warranties. TEC truly offers the convenience of one-stop shopping for all trucking-related needs.
Overview
Our Service Department has an excellent opportunity for an entry level Service Advisor to join our TEC team. The Service Advisor acts as a liaison between customers and our shop, utilizing skill in documentation and communication to manage work orders and facilitate the proper and timely repair of customer's equipment. This is great opportunity to grow your career with a great company that is willing to train the right person.
Responsibilities
  • Compete inspections of customer equipment, document information, and use inspection sheet to document thorough information about the vehicle's service needs.
  • Understand the work that needs to be done to the vehicle and address specific customer concerns.
  • Communicate with customer throughout the repair and payment process to create an overall positive experience for our customer.
  • Use the dealer management system to open and manage work orders and ensure efficient work flow and completion of work orders.
  • Answer phones and greet customers with professional and welcoming tone. Provide top notch customer service to all customers (by phone, in person, email, etc).
  • Keep track of status of all trucks in the shop and provide customers with updates according to their preferred method of communication.

Qualifications
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to have compassion for our customers and work well with a wide range of personalities and emotional states.
  • Excellent communication skills - oral and written (frequent and detailed documentation is required in this position).
  • Mechanical inclination and attention to detail, proficiency with data entry and computer skills.
  • Commitment to complete Service Advisor training.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet insurance requirements.
