Job Overview:
First Class Private Investigation is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Process Server Manager to oversee and grow our process serving operations. This role requires a professional who not only understands the responsibilities of serving legal documents but also possesses the leadership, marketing, and organizational skills to manage and scale the process serving department.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of process serving, including state and federal regulations, and will actively work to market our services, build client relationships, and manage day-to-day operations. Initially, you will handle serving legal documents yourself while simultaneously developing the client base and operational systems. As the department grows, you will oversee and delegate work to additional process servers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Serving:
Deliver legal documents such as citations, subpoenas, summons, and complaints to individuals or businesses.
Verify recipient identity and ensure proper service of legal papers.
Complete affidavits of service and other required documentation with accuracy and professionalism.
2. Management and Leadership:
Build and manage the process serving team as the department grows.
Train and mentor new process servers to ensure compliance with legal standards and company policies.
Oversee scheduling, case assignments, and performance of process servers.
Ensure all legal documents are handled securely, efficiently, and professionally.
3. Client Relations and Marketing:
Actively market First Class Private Investigations process serving services to attorneys, law firms, businesses, and other potential clients.
Network within the legal and business community to establish and maintain strong client relationships.
Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries, ensuring excellent customer service.
Monitor client satisfaction and adjust strategies to meet client needs effectively.
4. Operational and Administrative Duties:
Handle initial billing and invoicing for clients accurately and on time.
Develop and maintain a streamlined process for handling incoming cases and assignments.
Maintain organized records of services completed, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.
Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to management regarding the departments growth and efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Certification as a Process Server (or the ability to become certified within the required timeframe).
At least 2 years of experience as a process server or in a related legal field.
Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations governing process serving.
Proven leadership skills and experience managing or mentoring a team.
