Third-Party Risk Senior Analyst - First Century Bank
First Century Bank has an exciting career opportunity available for a Third-Party Risk Sr. Analyst to join our team. The Bank is growing its existing third-party risk management program to improve oversight of its key partners and vendors, and this role will be integral in executing the program.
This individual will help assess risks associated with key partners and vendors, coordinate due diligence and ongoing oversight efforts, develop management reporting materials to facilitate key governance routines, and other activities as needed to ensure adequate risk management of third-party relationships. In addition, this individual will help plan and complete annual site visits of our most valuable partnerships.
First Century Bank has specialized in providing financial services through technology channels for our FinTech partners. The Third-Party Risk Sr. Analyst is a career opportunity that will support the bank's continued growth through FinTech partnerships. This position would be a hybrid position whereby the individual will be able to work remotely and also come into the office as needed for training and to build camaraderie with other team members.
Duties will include the following:
  • Conduct risk assessments of existing and prospective third parties to identify key risks and assign overall risk grades consistent with policies and procedures
  • Support due diligence of current and prospective clients and program partners by coordinating with various internal Subject Matter Experts ("SMEs") to plan and execute diligence activities
  • Complete and facilitate monitoring programs to ensure key risks associated with third parties are regularly monitored, including planning and executing annual on-site assessments of critical relationships
  • Document TPRM related findings and follow up on identified issues and risk escalations
  • Keep management apprised of key third party risks and escalations through regular communication and reporting materials
  • Support the continued maintenance of existing policy and procedure documentation for the third-party risk management program
  • Performs such other duties as may be assigned or which inherently or logically belong with the position

Qualifications and Skills:
Qualified candidate will have a bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, Risk management or related field and at least 4 years of experience in a third-party risk management or similar role, or appropriate combination of education and experience. Ideal candidates will have some experience in financial services or fintech environments. In addition, qualified candidates will have:
  • Strong understanding of third-party risk management best practices
  • Basic understanding of financial services regulations including BSA, AML, UDAAP and NACHA rules
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and to develop knowledge across functions
  • Exceptional communication skills, project management skills and business analysis skills
  • Critical thinking, including the ability to approach problems logically and make informed decisions based on data
  • Availability to travel up to 4 times per year for 2-3 days for each trip
