We are a destination for builders, innovators, and operators to come together and challenge the status quo. Our collective ambition is bold. We are creating an entirely new category and customer experience - one that democratizes luxury and provides high quality products at radically low prices. That mission demands a world-class team committed to excellence.
If you are motivated by impact, growth, and purpose, you will find a strong sense of belonging at Quince.
THE ROLE
We are seeking a Sr. Technical Recruiter to join our growing team and drive our technical recruiting function. This is a high-impact individual contributor role based in Palo Alto. You will sit closely with senior leaders, acting as a strategic talent partner to build out full organizations and drive critical technical searches. This is a role focused on execution, strategy, and brand building. You will be responsible for defining and executing search strategy across a variety of technical roles including Software Engineering and Data Science, from passive sourcing and stakeholder partnership to interviewing operations, assessment rigor, and executive communication.
Responsibilities
  • Act as a strategic partner to Engineering leadership. Work closely with Palo Alto-based Engineering leaders to drive business priorities, workforce needs, and deliver against critical hiring goals.
  • Own high-priority technical searches. Personally drive critical searches, including senior engineering, specialized technical, and business-critical roles where strong judgment and execution are required.
  • Drive rigorous search strategy from intake through close. Build and execute effective search plans, including role calibration, market mapping, target company strategy, sourcing strategy, assessment design, and closing plans.
  • Improve interviewing operations and hiring process quality. Partner with Recruiting, Engineering, People, and business leaders to improve interview design, interviewer calibration, and overall process efficiency.
  • Raise the technical hiring bar. Improve slate quality, assessment rigor, stakeholder alignment, candidate evaluation, and decision-making consistency across technical hiring processes.
  • Use data to drive recruiting performance. Track funnel health, search velocity, candidate conversion, offer acceptance, and hiring outcomes to identify bottlenecks and improve execution.
  • Develop strong talent intelligence. Build market maps, competitive insights, talent pipelines, and proactive sourcing strategies across key technical domains.
  • Drive local branding initiatives. Create buzz in the market about Quince and drive onsite hiring strategies to provide world-class candidate experiences.

Qualifications
Required:
  • 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, with a proven track record of hiring for engineering and technical roles in high-growth, high-bar technology environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a strategic talent partner to senior Engineering leaders, influencing hiring strategy, role design, prioritization, calibration, and decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of technical recruiting fundamentals, including sourcing strategy, talent mapping, candidate assessment, interview design, funnel management, and closing.
  • Track record of improving recruiting processes, interview operations, stakeholder alignment, and hiring quality.
  • Strong analytical orientation, with experience using recruiting data to diagnose funnel issues and drive better hiring outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication, judgment, and executive presence, with the ability to build trust quickly with senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities, high expectations, and a strong bias for action.

Preferred:
  • Experience scaling engineering organizations from early-stage startup environments to late-stage, high-scale growth.
  • Experience utilizing advanced talent intelligence and market mapping to drive proactive sourcing strategies for niche technical roles.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional leadership to define and execute comprehensive talent strategies.

Pay Range: $155,000 - $180,000
