Air Emissions Senior Project Manager

Source/Stack Testing, Air Quality, Emissions Measurements

Air Tox Environmental Willington, Connecticut, United States

Lead complex EPA air emissions testing projects for some of the nation's largest power plants and industrial facilities. Air Tox Environmental is expanding our team and is seeking an experienced Air Emissions Project Manager who wants to work with industry-leading professionals while advancing into senior leadership.

 

Job Description

As an Air Emissions Senior Project Manager, you will lead EPA emissions testing projects from planning through final reporting. You will supervise field teams, coordinate with client personnel, ensure regulatory compliance, manage project budgets and schedules, and deliver high-quality technical reports. This position combines field leadership, project management, and technical expertise in EPA source testing.

Responsibilities

·       Manage EPA emissions testing projects from proposal through final report

·       Supervise and mentor stack testing technicians, project scientists and junior project managers.

·       Coordinate testing schedules with client personnel

·       Prepare project budgets and cost estimates

·       Ensure compliance with EPA Part 60, 61, 63, 75 and applicable state testing regulations

·       Review field data for accuracy and completeness

·       Perform data reduction and quality assurance reviews

·       Prepare technical reports

·       Maintain positive client relationships

·       Ensure safe execution of all field activities

·       Travel to project sites throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic

Travel typically ranges from 50-70% depending on project schedules. Most projects last 2-5 days with time in office between assignments whenever possible.

Qualifications


To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty safely and responsibly. The items listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

·       Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related field

·       5+ years of EPA source testing experience

·       Demonstrated experience leading field crews

·       QI Group 5 certification preferred (or ability to obtain)

·       Strong knowledge of EPA Reference Methods and Part 75

·       Experience preparing technical reports

·       Excellent communication and organizational skills

·       Proficiency with Microsoft Office

·       Ability to lift 50 pounds

·       Comfortable working at heights up to 300 feet

·       Valid driver's license

·       Ability to pass background checks and drug screening

·       Ability to obtain DOT Medical Certification

Preferred Qualifications

·       QSTI Certification

·       Project management experience

·       Experience with CEMS and FTIR

·       Experience testing combustion turbines, boilers and process units
