Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support our Digital Mission Solutions team in Panama City, Florida. In this role, you will contribute to the development of advanced technology solutions that support critical government missions and evolving national security priorities. You will work alongside a highly collaborative team of engineers and technical professionals focused on delivering innovative, reliable, and secure digital capabilities for federal customers.

The ideal candidate will bring strong software engineering expertise, a passion for emerging technologies, and the ability to thrive in a mission-driven environment. This position offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects that enhance operational effectiveness, strengthen resilient networking capabilities, and support complex government mission requirements across diverse federal environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software solutions for real-time and safety-critical military

  • applications.

  • Architect and implement software for Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA) and embedded platforms.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile, Scrum, and DevSecOps methodologies.

  • Ensure software system meets rigorous safety and security standards (e.g., MIL-STD-882 or equivalent).

  • Manage and optimize database systems for embedded and enterprise applications.

  • Utilize modern software development tools for version control, CI/CD and project management.

  • Document software designs, development and test processes, and best practices using collaborative agile tools

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or electrical engineering or related fields. 6+ years of experience in software engineering.

  • High proficiency in C++, Java, Python, and Ada.

  • Experience in Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as VxWorks, LynxOS, Embedded Linux distributions, Windows development management.

  • Architect hardware abstracted execution environments with microsecond-level determinism in diverse RTOS kernels.

  • Expert in database architecture, design, and administration (SQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL).

  • Proven experience with Agile, Scrum, and DevSecOps tools, methodologies, and practices.

  • Expertise in developing software for SOA, embedded systems, and safety-critical applications using MIL-STD-

  • 882 or equivalent.

  • Proficiency with modern software development and version control tools such as GIT, Jira, Confluence and Jenkins.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field.

  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

  • Experience with C, C#, or Rust for embedded or systems programming.

  • Automation experience using scripting languages like Bash and PowerShell.

  • Familiarity with assembly language for low-level hardware integration.

  • Kernel module and device driver development experience.

  • Cross-compilation development environments and build systems (e.g. Yocto, Buildroot).

  • Virtualization and containerization (e.g. Docker, KVM) in embedded environments.

  • Data modeling, ETL process, and database performance tuning.
