Job Description:Our client is seeking a Senior Software Project Manager to support a high-visibility digital product initiative. While programming ability is not required, the ideal candidate has a working knowledge of modern service-oriented software architectures to assess dependencies and vet solutions. This is a fast-paced role supporting a next-generation digital commerce platform, sitting at the intersection of product, engineering, and data.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the senior day-to-day project manager for the full product and tech side of the team
  • Manage and deliver multiple projects in parallel, coordinating activities within the project team against the Program Roadmap
  • Own team capacity planning, Agile velocity calculation, and sprint planning
  • Monitor ticket flow and spikes against sprints across product, engineering, and design
  • Track Jira tickets and Confluence documentation; create shell tickets and route to Product or Engineering as needed
  • Identify, log, track, and resolve risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and changes
  • Analyze and provide regular, objective status reporting on project progress
  • Ensure projects are executed within timeframes and budget, per quality and benefit targets
  • Coordinate escalations within the team or to stakeholders/executives as needed
  • Ensure SDLC processes and guidelines are understood and followed
  • Leverage Agile ceremonies and team feedback to continuously improve performance
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager on roadmap planning using a variety of estimation techniques
  • Partner with stakeholders across local and distributed teams, including coordination with a 3rd-party vendor project manager on certain project workstreams
  • Adjust plans and priorities as quarterly roadmaps evolve

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in software Project Management, ideally at a Senior level
  • 3 years of experience working with core platform systems/frameworks
  • Proven experience running multiple projects in parallel within a fast-paced, large tech company environment
  • Deep, hands-on Agile expertise, including velocity/capacity calculation and sprint planning
  • Strong working knowledge of SDLC processes
  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence
  • Experience working off a roadmap and adjusting through quarterly planning cycles
  • Knowledgeable in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, plus other forecasting/estimation tools
  • Proficiency with G Suite, Microsoft Office, and Atlassian products
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills across technical, non-technical, and executive audiences
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage expectations across competing projects
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and align cross-functional, globally distributed teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Continuous Delivery
  • Knowledge of e-commerce, online retail, or adtech
  • PM certification (PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, or similar)
  • Bachelor's degree in business or technology discipline
