Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
As the Senior Project Manager, Software at Hanwha Q CELLS America, you will be responsible for planning, executing, tracking, and reporting of our testing, qualification, performance, and release of new products and help to integrate various components such as Inverters, Batteries, MLPEs and other software applications into a seamless system level solution. This position is expected to manage the overall schedule of software development efforts and be the interface between product management, software and hardware engineering, design, DevOps, QA, field testing, and sales, ensuring product requirements are being correctly implemented on schedule and within budget. This position reports to Director, Software Product Strategy or another senior management member. This position can be based in the Santa Clara, CA, San Francisco, CA, or Irvine, CA, offices. The position requires up to 20% travel.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC) from initiation through delivery and post-launch support
  • Apply Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies as appropriate
  • Maintain and prioritize backlogs
  • Define project scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations
  • Manage cross-functional stakeholders across multiple business functions
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues
  • Foster collaboration and accountability
  • Communicate project status, milestones, risks, and dependencies to leadership and stakeholders using project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
  • Track progress, manage changes in scope, and ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and product requirements
  • Coordinate testing, deployment, and release management activities
  • Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and organizational performance
  • Take assignments with a sense of urgency; deliver solutions and results in a timely manner; can-do mentality, pro-active working attitude, and hands-on approach.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in software project management.
  • Experience in program management and reporting is required.
  • Experience with project management and tracking tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms
  • Strong communication skills with teammates, management, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Background in defining, reviewing and testing Software, Apps for UI/UX is a plus.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Project or program management utilizing variety of tools.
  • Extensive experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong professional integrity and sense of ownership of assignments.
  • Self-motivation requires minimum supervision and has a proven track record of reliability and work ethic.
