How you’ll make an impact

As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you’ll design, develop, test and deploy technical solutions that help power FCC’s daily operations. You’ll be a senior hands-on contributor on the team that manages and enhances our ServiceNow environment, with a focus on building clean, scalable, well-integrated solutions that support ITSM practices and enterprise workflows across Canada.

You’ll bring strong development discipline, ServiceNow platform knowledge, and broader software engineering experience to interpret business requirements, contribute to solution design, build custom functionality, support integrations, and ensure releases are reliable, maintainable, and aligned with FCC development standards. You’ll help ensure our platform remains stable, scalable and governed as FCC continues to grow. If you value smart, clean code and enjoy solving complex technical problems, you’ll thrive here.

What you’ll do

  • Design, develop, test and deploy high-quality ServiceNow solutions, including custom functionality, workflows, automation, integrations and platform enhancements.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and configure ServiceNow using strong development practices, including client and server-side scripting, reusable components and appropriate use of out-of-the-box functionality.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements, participate in application design sessions and translate complex needs into scalable ServiceNow solutions.
  • Develop and support integrations using APIs and web services, ensuring system integrations are efficient, reliable and complete.
  • Build and execute automation, integration and unit tests to improve release quality and streamline internal workflows across the organization.
  • Actively contributes to code reviews, troubleshooting, user testing, implementation support and continuous improvement of FCC’s development standards.

What you’ll bring to the team

Required qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering
  • Minimum six years of related software development experience, including hands-on ServiceNow development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong Java script experience, troubleshooting and testing practices.
  • Solid knowledge of ServiceNow development and configuration, including ITSM processes, workflows, forms, business rules, client scripts, script includes, Flow Designer and Update sets
  • Experience producing working code on complex development tasks, including custom functionality, integrations and system enhancements.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with automated testing, code reviews, troubleshooting, technical documentation and rigorous development standards

Preferred qualifications:

  • Broader enterprise development experience, particularly in Java-based application development, API development, system integration or cloud-enabled platforms.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) (please state certification number)
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) (please state certification number)
