What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Senior Software Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Senior Software Developer, you need deep expertise in programming languages, software architecture, and problem-solving, typically backed by a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. Proficiency with development frameworks, version control systems like Git, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is standard, and certifications in these areas can be beneficial. Job Title

MUST HAVE strong MOCA experience, coding and working with MOCA commands

Blue Yonder WMS BY WMS candidate with workforce labor management knowledge.

Page Builder knowledge to redevelop Custom UIs & Reports

Perl

SQL

Day to Day: These 2 positions will be primarily be supporting the deployments of Blue Yonder (BY) Workforce Labor Management (WLM) to support 4 coastal holding facilities, provide support for BY WLM on version 2019 and 2021, perform integration development in BY WLM to support Labor Optimization Services, and support a Pro Customer order delivery pilot for a flatbed distribution center as times permits. Support BY workforce labor management work.

Project/Initiative they are working on:

Marvin Ellison talks about how they are working on next day customer delivery capabilities for bulky products (appliances, grills, mowers, patio furniture, etc.)

–more recently this next day customer delivery capability is expanding to support their professional customers (building materials etc.)

First facility is in production now

Similar process to their cross-dock terminal

Inventory is shipped to a cross-dock terminal the night before a delivery is scheduled

Current model – professional fulfillment center has their inventory etc.

Based on inventory at the facility – orders are taken against that & delivered to customers

Urgency to enable next day delivery – inventory that is in regional or flatbed distro centers too

Flatbed distro centers do not have that capability

Blue Yonder 8.2 old version they’re working with – will not support required integrations to enable next day delivery

2 main steps for the project roadmap here:

Part 1. Upgrade WMS Blue Yonder from 8.2 to 2021 by 1/20/23 & put that into production over weekend on 3/1/23

Part 2. Then they will be doing integration work – depending on how much work they have with the other updates they have to make, then they will onboard the integrations required to do next day delivery – in that case, they would extend the resources past the Jan/Feb timeframe for this 2nd portion

Interview Process (# of rounds, coding?):

1 round MS Teams Video Conference 30-60 mins

Blue Yonder has specific language for extending their products in general called MOCA – tech screenings on this

Knowledge of Blue Yonder 8.2 & 2021
