Description
Senior Transportation Bridge Project Manager - Rochester, NY
Lead Rochester-area senior bridge and civil infrastructure projects tied to NYSDOT Region 4, municipal bridge rehabilitation, federally funded transportation programs, structural design, PS&E delivery, and infrastructure priorities across the western New York and Finger Lakes market.
Serve as a senior project leader to successfully deliver bridge projects. This includes: coordinating directly with clients and agencies; coordinating multidisciplinary delivery; managing scopes, schedules and budgets; mentoring.
What You'll Do
  • Lead transportation bridge design projects from proposal through design and construction.
  • Manage project budgets, scope, schedule, staffing, billing, QA/QC, client updates, and closeout to ensure successful delivery.
  • Lead design strategy with teams, clients, partners, and stakeholders to align project decisions with client goals.
  • Prepare winning proposals, serve as primary client contact, and support business development with public agency and municipal clients.
  • Provide clear direction, motivation, mentorship, and leadership while representing Fisher in professional and community settings.

Requirements
What We're Looking For
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering.
  • 10+ years in civil transportation engineering, including bridge design project management.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE).
  • Demonstrated experience managing NYSDOT, LAFA and locally funded bridge projects. Familiarity with federally funded programs, and bridge projects from design through delivery.
  • Client-focused leadership, collaboration, integrity, respect, active listening, sound judgment, organization, and ownership.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MicroStation, and bridge design software preferred.
  • Demonstrated success developing trusted, long-term client relationships.
  • Ability to navigate complex public processes, municipal approvals, and multidisciplinary delivery requirements.
  • Strong mentoring capability with the ability to grow staff and reinforce quality, standards, and delivery discipline.

Compensation + Benefits
  • Salary range: $120,000-$155,000; actual compensation varies based on experience, qualifications, and other factors and excludes the value of benefits.
