Job description

Project Manager / Senior Project Manager

Greenville, SC

A growing employee-owned design-build contractor is seeking a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to join its expanding Greenville, SC office.

This organization specializes in industrial and manufacturing construction with a strong presence in the food & beverage, processing, cold storage, and distribution sectors. The company has established itself as a leader within its niche, maintains a strong project backlog, and offers the resources of a large contractor while preserving the culture and accessibility of a midsized organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Review contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Mentor project engineers and junior project management staff as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with superintendents and operations leadership to drive successful project execution.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager with a general contractor.
  • Industrial, manufacturing, food & beverage, processing, cold storage, or distribution experience strongly preferred.
  • Candidates with ground-up commercial construction experience will also be considered.
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and client management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
