Water Project Manager - Lehi, UT
AE2S is seeking a Water Project Manager in Lehi, Utah to lead the planning, design, and delivery of drinking water and water infrastructure projects for public and private clients. This role is ideal for a water engineer with project management experience who wants to take ownership of complex, community-impacting projects that support water treatment, water supply, storage, transmission, and pump station infrastructure.
As a Water Project Manager, you'll apply your technical water engineering expertise and client-focused mindset to manage projects from concept through construction, delivering high-quality solutions and exceptional client service. Responsibilities
Using your background as a water engineer, you will be a project manager for drinking water related projects. Help navigate the project through its entire cycle.

  • Serve as Project Manager for drinking water and water infrastructure projects, guiding work through the full project lifecycle
  • Provide professional water engineering services including planning, studies, design, and construction administration
  • Lead and manage project teams, including Project Engineers, Engineers in Training (EITs), and Technicians
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, supporting both existing and new project opportunities
  • Identify, pursue, and manage water project opportunities aligned with client and organizational goals
  • Ensure quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) on all project deliverables
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to support successful outcomes
  • Coordinate and participate in internal and external meetings with clients, stakeholders, and team members
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to support team growth and development
Qualifications Basic
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, chemical or environmental engineering or related field
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Utah or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • 8+ years consulting experience in water
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business development
  • Ability to work remotely and manage projects, clients, and project team members
  • Prior project management experience
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations
Preferred
  • Master's degree in civil engineering or related field
  • 10+ years consulting experience for municipal water/wastewater systems
  • Proven client relationships
Physical
  • Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight
  • May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
  • May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear
  • May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload
  • May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
