Position Summary: The Senior Process Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, safety, quality, and productivity. This role serves as a key liaison between production, engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to ensure operational processes are executed consistently and improved continuously.
The Senior Process Coordinator analyzes production workflows, resolves process issues, leads improvement initiatives, and ensures manufacturing operations follow established standards and best practices.
Position Duties:
- Coordinate daily manufacturing activities to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and operational targets are achieved.
- Monitor production workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed and updated when process improvements are identified.
- Support production teams in resolving process interruptions, equipment challenges, and operational issues.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
- Analyze production data to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize processes.
- Implement process improvements that increase throughput, reduce scrap, and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to support operational performance.
- Assist with new product introductions and manufacturing process transitions.
- Ensure process changes are properly communicated, documented, and implemented across departments.
- Track and analyze key manufacturing metrics including production output, scrap and rework, downtime, OEE, and labor efficiency.
- Develop reports and dashboards to communicate performance trends and operational insights.
- Train operators and production personnel on new or updated manufacturing processes.
- Support the development and maintenance of process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Promote standardization of best practices across production lines.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and operational standards.
- Support safety initiatives and assist with incident investigations related to manufacturing processes.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous operational improvement.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent manufacturing experience. They will bring 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations or process coordination, with hands-on knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and data-driven process performance analysis. Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and operations teams is required, along with strong technical skills in manufacturing processes, workflow optimization, ERP systems, and process documentation. Familiarity with automotive lighting manufacturing, including coatings and paint systems, is highly preferred. The candidate must possess excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and leadership capability to coach and support production teams.
