Job Description

HOW A NETWORK ADMIN WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Provides ongoing support for the functionality and efficiency of computer systems and networks

  • Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks

  • Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability

  • Trains users, maintains, creates and deletes user accounts

  • Develops and enhances processes and technical documentation, creates back-up procedures, test plans, and reports


WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:


Education:

  • Associate degree preferred

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of related experience

Security Clearance Level:

  • TS/SCI

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology

  • Security + or equivalent DoD 8570 certification required

  • Requires a good working knowledge of network administration and information systems

  • Must closely follow network protocols and methodology


Preferred Skills:

  • MCSA or CCNA or equivalent experience

  • Must be able to evaluate network performance and interact with users to solve problems

  • Can effectively deliver training

  • Has good consulting skills

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $76,565 - $92,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
