If you can see yourself working side‑by‑side with a team of people who think and live “Off The Wall,” Vans just may be the place for you.

What will you do?

We are looking for a Sr. Manager, Merchandising, Men's Bottoms & Outerwear to lead the global merchandising strategy and seasonal execution for Vans' Men's Bottoms & Outerwear categories. This role is responsible for building consumer‑right assortments that balance brand expression, product innovation, category growth, and commercial performance. You will partner closely with Design, Product Development, Planning, Regional Merchandising, Marketing, and Sales teams to bring compelling products to market while ensuring alignment with Vans' global product vision and business objectives.

Let's break down that day‑in‑the‑life a bit more.

  • Drive the seasonal merchandising strategy for Men's Bottoms & Outerwear, ensuring alignment with global and regional business objectives.
  • Build and manage category assortments across bottoms and outerwear, balancing consumer demand, product franchises, pricing architecture, and marketplace opportunities.
  • Act as the voice of the consumer by leveraging marketplace insights, trend analysis, sell‑through performance, and regional feedback to inform product decisions.
  • Partner with Design and Product Development teams throughout the product creation process to deliver compelling, brand‑right assortments.
  • Manage seasonal line plans and assortment architecture, ensuring alignment to revenue, margin, inventory, and productivity objectives.
  • Collaborate with Planning and Finance partners to identify opportunities, manage risks, and make informed business recommendations.
  • Analyze category performance and recommend in‑season and future‑season actions to improve sales, margin, and overall category productivity.
  • Mentor and support merchandising team members while contributing to a collaborative, inclusive, and high‑performing team environment.
What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you'll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 8+ years of merchandising, product, retail, or apparel experience and professional achievements.

The foundational skills you will need in this position are:
  • Minimum of 8 years of merchandising experience, preferably within apparel, bottoms, outerwear, or related product categories.
  • Strong understanding of apparel merchandising fundamentals including assortment planning, product segmentation, pricing architecture, category management, and lifecycle planning.
  • Experience managing seasonal line plans and building assortments that balance consumer relevance with commercial performance.
  • Strong understanding of consumer trends, marketplace dynamics, and competitive activity within men's apparel categories.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate selling performance and business insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Proven ability to influence cross‑functional partners across Design, Development, Planning, Marketing, and Sales organizations.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills within a matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability including coaching, mentoring, and developing talent.
Now WE have a question for YOU. Are you in?
