ASCP Senior Medical Technologist - Full Time
Evening / Night Shift with Rotating Weekends & Holidays

MLee Healthcare is searching for a seasoned Senior Medical Technologist to lead our laboratory team. This role involves overseeing lab operations, conducting complex tests, and ensuring precision and efficiency in diagnostics. Your expertise will be pivotal in upholding our commitment to delivering exceptional quality and advancing patient care, making a profound impact in our healthcare community.
Responsibilities for a Senior Medical Technologist:
  • Perform and oversee a variety of complex laboratory tests on specimens including blood, urine, and other bodily fluids.
  • Supervise and mentor laboratory staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate and implement new laboratory techniques and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to interpret test results and provide clinical correlation.
Requirements for a Senior Medical Technologist:
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • ASCP or equivalent certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with progressive responsibility (preferred) .
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team.
  • NYS License.
  • Proficiency with laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic medical records (EMR).
