What does a senior manufacturing test engineer do?

A Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing tests and procedures to ensure that manufactured products meet required quality and performance standards. They work closely with product design, manufacturing, and quality teams to create automated and manual testing systems, troubleshoot issues, and optimize test processes. Their expertise helps improve product reliability, reduce defects, and streamline production. Additionally, they often mentor junior engineers and lead projects to enhance manufacturing efficiency.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a senior manufacturing test engineer?

To thrive as a Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer, you need a strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering, experience with test plan development, and a relevant bachelor’s degree.
