## Manufacturing Process Engineer IIIApplylocations: Houston, TX (TAS-AIRPORT)time type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: JR107361**POSITION OVERVIEW:**The Manufacturing Process Engineer III for RBTI will be part of the manufacturing engineering department to support production operations by designing, building, manufacturing, and implementing jigs, tooling and fixtures to ensure we meet the CTF for our customers before it hits the floor and ensure TAS operators continue meeting the CTF deliverables throughout the process. The position requires a results-oriented individual that will drive operations to follow the process, create tools and fixtures to ensure we meet the quality standards required by our customers and work with our production and quality team to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency of the process. Primary objectives are to analyze the process, find what areas that need support to meet CTFs and create tooling, the work instructions and the process to guarantee we meet customer satisfaction goals.**KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Evaluate production tasks and drawings to ensure we meet all the CTF metrics, creating tools, fixtures or gauges for production and quality to create the environment where our quality standards are met and exceeded every single time.* Work with production and quality to walk the process to a successful implementation of the new tools, fixtures and gauges.* Through data analysis, identify opportunities for improvements in productivity, quality, material flow, safety, quality, and cost. Prioritize actions to be taken, establish schedules for completion, and implement the necessary measures to realize savings.* Responsible for the implementation of key elements of Lean, such as: Standardized Work Instructions, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen/5S* Conduct time studies and audits as appropriate to validate and adjust labor estimates to reflect actual costs.* Work with vendors in determining product specifications and evaluating products according to quality standards and specifications.* Facilitate and/or lead cross-functional teams with Engineering, Production and Estimating in support of driving efficiencies and eliminating non-value-added activities.* Collaborate with design engineering in concurrent engineering efforts to ensure manufacturability. Proactively identifying opportunities for improved manufacturability and coordinating implementation with design engineering and operations personnel.* Provide shop floor feedback on product design and manufacturability issues to Engineering and DFMs, and work with Design Engineering to update drawings to match the feedback from the floor to continue improving designs according to DFM.* Document and track all cost savings and process improvements against targets.* Evaluate Quality data and implement improvement activities to ensure all quality requirements are met.* Plan and execute facility and work cell layout modifications based on planned products and workload to optimize material and product flow.* Develop, design, justify and implement appropriate production tools, equipment, and other assets to maximize labor efficiency and reduce total cost.* Support estimating function by providing estimates of direct labor and raw material costs as required.
