Job description

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for improving manufacturing processes, increasing production efficiency, and supporting the development of innovative solutions across our manufacturing operations. This role partners with Engineering, Production, Safety, Supply Chain, and Innovation teams to optimize workflows, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure products are designed and built for manufacturability, quality, and safety.

What You'll Do
  • Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Design and optimize production layouts, equipment, and workflows to maximize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure new products are designed for efficient manufacturing.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen principles.
  • Develop manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and training materials for production teams.
  • Evaluate manufacturing equipment, recommend capital improvements, and support equipment implementation and maintenance.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve production issues.
  • Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Safety, Supply Chain, and Innovation teams to achieve production goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience; Engineer-to-Order (ETO) manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience with process improvement, quality systems, PPAP, and prototyping.
  • Proficiency with PTC Creo, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of electrical components, electrical terminology, and applicable codes is preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to support multiple manufacturing facilities.
