Sr. Manager, Data & Analytics

The Sr. Manager, Data & Analytics is responsible for leading the organization's enterprise data platform, analytics engineering environment, reporting infrastructure, and operational data governance initiatives. This role serves as a senior hands-on technical leader responsible for ensuring scalable, secure, reliable, and business-aligned data solutions that support operational, financial, recruiting, HR, and executive reporting needs across the organization.

This is a working leadership role where the Sr. Manager actively contributes to the engineering environment while overseeing roadmap execution, platform optimization, engineering standards, operational scalability, and team development. The Sr. Manager leads by example through direct involvement in data modeling, SQL development, analytics engineering workflows, platform troubleshooting, and reporting optimization while establishing operational discipline and scalable engineering practices across the team.

This role partners closely with Technology leadership, Operations, Finance, Recruiting, HR, and executive stakeholders to align enterprise data capabilities with business priorities, reporting visibility, and operational scalability objectives.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Lead development, optimization, and operational support of the organization's enterprise data platform and analytics engineering environment
  • Oversee enterprise reporting pipelines, data transformation workflows, and operational analytics infrastructure supporting business operations and executive reporting
  • Establish scalable engineering standards, reporting structures, and operational best practices across the data environment
  • Support enterprise reporting reliability, data quality, and operational scalability initiatives

Hands-On Technical Contribution:

  • Actively contribute to the engineering environment through SQL development, dbt workflows, data modeling, pipeline troubleshooting, and reporting optimization activities
  • Review pull requests, support engineering standards, and mentor team members through hands-on technical collaboration
  • Participate directly in architecture discussions, transformation design, and operational platform enhancement initiatives
  • Serve as a senior escalation resource for enterprise reporting, analytics, and platform-related issues

Reporting & Business Intelligence Strategy:

  • Support enterprise reporting and analytics capabilities across Operations, Recruiting, Finance, HR, and executive leadership functions
  • Oversee development and optimization of dashboards, KPI scorecards, Power BI reporting environments, and operational reporting workflows
  • Improve operational visibility and reporting maturity through scalable analytics and business intelligence solutions
  • Ensure reporting outputs are accurate, actionable, and aligned with business decision-making needs

Data Governance, Security & Operational Controls:

  • Partner with Enterprise IT leadership and the CTO to support enterprise data governance, platform security, and access management initiatives
  • Support role-based access controls, data governance standards, auditability, and operational data management practices
  • Ensure enterprise reporting environments align with organizational security standards and governance expectations
  • Assist with operational risk mitigation and platform governance activities related to enterprise data infrastructure

Process Improvement & Platform Optimization:

  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting workflows, platform performance, pipeline reliability, and operational scalability
  • Lead initiatives focused on reporting automation, workflow optimization, and engineering process standardization
  • Support monitoring, observability, testing, and operational quality practices across the data environment
  • Improve operational efficiency and reduce reporting bottlenecks through scalable engineering solutions

AI-Assisted Engineering & Automation:

  • Support adoption of AI-assisted engineering workflows and automation practices within the data engineering environment
  • Leverage automation and intelligent tooling capabilities to improve engineering productivity and reporting efficiency
  • Ensure automation and AI-assisted outputs align with engineering standards, governance practices, and operational reliability expectations
  • Identify opportunities to improve scalability and workflow consistency through automation and reusable engineering solutions

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Lead, coach, and develop Data Engineering and analytics resources through technical mentorship, collaborative problem-solving, and operational guidance
  • Establish team priorities, operational expectations, and accountability standards aligned with organizational goals
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, documentation discipline, and operational ownership
  • Support team member development and technical capability growth within the Data Engineering organization

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Operational Partnership:

  • Partner closely with Finance, Operations, Recruiting, HR, Technology, and executive leadership teams to align enterprise reporting and analytics capabilities with business priorities
  • Support operational initiatives through scalable analytics, reporting automation, and business intelligence solutions
  • Collaborate with Technology and Enterprise IT teams on systems integrations, reporting architecture, and operational transformation initiatives
  • Serve as a senior technical and operational resource supporting enterprise analytics and reporting needs

Education and Certifications:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Preferred: Advanced degree in Data Engineering, Analytics, Computer Science, or related field

Required Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, business intelligence, or enterprise reporting roles
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams or analytics engineering resources
  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, SQL, and enterprise analytics engineering workflows
  • Experience with Power BI, data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, reporting automation, and operational analytics environments
  • Experience supporting enterprise data governance, reporting optimization, and operational scalability initiatives
  • Strong understanding of data security, access management, and reporting governance practices
  • Experience supporting cloud-based analytics environments and engineering workflows
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and technical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to balance hands-on technical contribution with team leadership responsibilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in healthcare staffing, workforce solutions, or service-based industries
  • Experience with Azure infrastructure, Azure DevOps, Power BI Premium/Fabric, or cloud-native analytics platforms
  • Familiarity with semantic layer tooling, operational analytics frameworks, or reporting governance practices
  • Experience with AI-assisted engineering workflows, automation tooling, or intelligent reporting solutions
  • Experience integrating enterprise systems such as Bullhorn, Workday, HRIS, CRM, or financial platforms into centralized reporting environments
  • Exposure to observability tooling, platform monitoring, or enterprise reporting transformation initiatives

Location:

  • This role is hybrid for candidates located within a reasonable commuting distance to our Edmond, OK or Frisco, TX offices. Candidates outside a reasonable distance from either office are eligible for a fully remote arrangement.

Compensation:

  • The expected base salary range for this position is $155,000 to $185,000 annually. The final compensation offered will be determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
