Hyosung HICO is seeking to fill a
Senior Inventory Control Specialist position. The ideal candidate will provide organization, control and coordination of materials used in production, including storage and delivery activities for the Division with a focus on inbound and outbound goods, material warehousing, inventory management and cost.

THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Manages and coordinates Physical Inventories, Cycle Counts and Inventory Adjustments to insure that system and warehouse inventories are accurate and transactions are done in the required time.
- Initiates, processes, reviews and reports on weekly cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Executes inventory functions for the HICO shipping/ receiving area, and inventory control optimization. Review product issuance, kitting, rerouting, costing, and usage alternatives.
- Writes, revises, and trains employees on standard operating procedures for inventory control and warehouse processes.
- Researches, develops and implements best practice techniques to measure, drive and achieve goals for on time delivery, price, quality, and inventory management. Serve as liaison between internal customers and warehouse to maximize inventory accuracy, reduce excess and obsolete inventory and maximizing inventory performance thru increase turns and improved space utilization.
- Monthly reporting and evaluation of slow moving inventory. Work with Engineering to use or determine best actions to reduce slow moving inventory,
- Work with vendors on all scrap material disposal. Identifying materials, negotiate financial recovery and request appropriate approvals prior to disposal. Coordinate removal and insure payment for scrap where appropriate.
- Forecasts material usage to production schedule and coordinate with purchasing to ensure the materials are available when required. Identify and recommend remediation actions as necessary.
- Ensures department policies exist and are followed to review inventory transactions, inventory levels and storage locations for accuracy and conformance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines. Using ERP and other tools, maintains optimal inventory of materials, and components to efficiently support continuous production operations.
- Reports monthly on inventory and inventory control activities status to established goals.
- Monitors industry standards, trends, or practices to identify developments in inventory planning or execution.
- Furthers the goals and positive, professional image of the Power Transformer Division by conducting business with other HICO divisions, departments, suppliers, etc. in a timely and cooperative manner.
- Know HICO's Quality, Safety and Environmental Policies. Be able to fully discuss the importance of these policies and how they impact work.

THE NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Evaluate material flows into, through and out of HICO to drive continuous improvement of material on hand and inventory levels. Develop, monitor and drive improvement inventory performance metrics.
- Coordinate with Purchasing to analyze specifications, stocks on hand, material storage and market conditions to help define the best practices for procurement of HICO materials.
- Make recommendations and take actions to improve Company policies and procedures.
- Develop, compose, and distribute procedures as required.
- Support and assist the Supply Chain Manager as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business or similar technical related discipline, with 4 years of experience in Supply Chain and Inventory Control..
- Advanced skills in supply chain systems, warehouse management and techniques including logistics and negotiating
- Developed logical and critical thinking skills including the ability to develop, analyze and draw conclusions to problems requiring quantitative
- Advanced oral and written communications skills with emphasis on strong customer relationships
- Developed organizational and time management
- Working knowledge of computer systems, emphasizing MS Office, relational databases, computer-based planning systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Inventory and MRP/ERP system functionality and component
