Job Title: Warehouse Inventory Manager
Reports to: Plant Manager/Warehouse Manager
Summary:
The Warehouse Inventory Manager is responsible for inventory accuracy, product flow, material investigations, and warehouse coordination across all three facilities. This role manages the inventory team, maintains stock integrity, resolves inventory discrepancies, supports QA and production operations, and ensures the accurate movement and documentation of all products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
INVENTORY CONTROL & AUDITING
- Manage the Inventory Department for all three facilities.
- Coordinate with production, purchasing and shipping to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Manage space optimization throughout the warehouse. - Cross functional w/ Logistics Manager
- Maximize cost reduction and loss prevention.
- Manage 3rd party Inventory and bank audits.
- Conduct inventory audits and full physical stock counts; investigate and resolve variances.
- Verify accuracy of finished goods and raw material location for all facilities.
- Review inventory reports and correct discrepancies.
- Investigate NL, C5000A, missing, and mislocated inventory.
PRODUCT FLOW & WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS
- Ensure efficient flow of raw materials and finished goods through the production process.
- Monitor microwave-processed products for proper handling and tracking.
- Coordinate physical and system-based product transfers between all three facilities.
- Manage timely movement of rework, E. coli hold, and inedible products to production for processing.
QUALITY, DISPOSITION & QA SUPPORT
- Investigate damaged, returned, and mislabeled products and determine proper disposition.
- Report purchase order issues to QA for claim resolution.
- Monitor QA and R&D inventory levels.
- Identify and report issues on the Room Aging Report across all facilities. - Cross functional w/ Logistics Manager
- Select USDA combo products for QA review.
- Investigate customer complaints and provide documented findings. - Cross functional w/ Logistics Manager
REPORTING & CROSS-DEPARTMENT COMMUNICATION
- Review orders and communicate issues with shipping, production, and customer service.
- Maintain ongoing cross-department communication to prevent delays and ensure inventory accuracy.
SPECIAL PROGRAMS & CONTROLLED PRODUCT
- Coordinate employee sales, giveaways, and discounted product programs.
- Ensure proper controls and documentation for all special product distributions.
SAMPLES, TESTING & SPECIAL HANDLING
- Organize, track, and deliver sample and test products to the appropriate departments.
- Create sample orders and ensure sample orders ship correctly.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years of experience in warehouse inventory management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies.
- Experience managing inventory across multiple facilities preferred.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and warehouse software.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move products for extended periods during the shift.
- Ability to work in warehouses, cold storage, and production environments.
