Job description

Sales Closer — Health & Wellness Program

Position: Sales Closer

Location: Remote (US-based preferred)

Type: Full-time, Independent Contractor

Compensation: Commission-based (~10%), paid training period

ABOUT THE ROLE

A growing online wellness company is looking for a Sales Closer to join the team and take ownership of inbound sales calls. This is a warm-lead, consultative sales role - not cold calling, hard selling, or pure transactional.

The company runs a proven program that helps people improve their quality of life through structured wellness coaching for back pain. Clients come to us through a webinar, enroll in a trial program, and by the time they speak with you, they've already experienced results and built trust with the brand. Your job is to guide them through the next step - listening to their story, understanding their needs, and helping them commit to the full program.

This is an ideal role for someone who thrives on genuine human connection, has a natural ability to build rapport, and wants to earn well doing meaningful work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Inbound Sales & Closing

• Conduct 4–6 consultative sales calls per day with warm, pre-qualified leads

• Guide clients through a conversation about their experience, progress, and goals

• Present the full program as the natural next step - no hard selling required

• Follow up with clients who need a second conversation before committing (~30% of closes)

Lead Nurturing

• Reach out to webinar registrants who didn't attend or engage

• Re-engage trial members who haven't scheduled their upsell call

• Maintain a clean pipeline and follow-up cadence

Self-Management

• Own your calendar and manage your daily call schedule independently

• Track your performance and continuously improve your approach

• Participate in onboarding training to learn the product, the process, and the client journey

Requirements

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

Requirements & Skills

• 2–3 years of B2C sales experience with a track record of closing

• Warm, empathetic, and consultative selling style - you connect with people on a human level

• Familiar with consultative closing and objection-handling frameworks - you understand how to guide a conversation toward a decision without pressure or manipulation

• Strong communication skills - you make people feel heard and understood

• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment

• Available full-time during standard US Eastern Time business hours (flexible schedule within the day)

• Comfortable starting on a commission-only structure with room to grow into base + commission

Nice to Have

• Background in health, wellness, coaching, or lifestyle industries

• Experience selling online programs, memberships, or subscription-based services

• Familiarity with consultative or solution-based selling frameworks

• Experience working with warm leads generated through webinars or content funnels

Benefits

• Commission: ~10% per closed deal (uncapped)

• Training: Paid onboarding period to learn the product and sales process

• Growth: Top performers have the opportunity to earn a base salary on top of commission

• Flexibility: Set your own schedule within business hours — midday breaks are welcome

• Meaningful work: Help real people improve their quality of life through a proven program

• Support: Warm leads provided — no cold calling required

90-DAY SUCCESS METRICS

Month 1 (Weeks 1–4): Onboarding & Ramp-Up

• Complete product and sales process training

• Shadow existing calls and review recorded sessions

• Begin taking supervised sales calls

• Understand the client journey from webinar → trial → full program

Month 2 (Weeks 5–8): Independent Selling

• Handle a full daily call schedule independently (4–6 calls/day)

• Demonstrate consistent consultative call quality

• Begin follow-up outreach to no-shows and disengaged leads

• Hit initial closing targets

Month 3 (Weeks 9–12): Full Performance

• Consistently close at or above team benchmarks

• Manage pipeline and follow-ups independently

• Contribute feedback on common objections and process improvements

• Evaluate path to base + commission based on performance

IMPORTANT NOTES

This isn't your typical sales role. You won't be pitching strangers or overcoming heavy resistance. The people you'll speak with have already experienced results and trust the brand. Your role is to be the bridge between "I feel better" and "I want to keep going." If you're someone who genuinely cares about helping people and knows how to close with warmth and confidence, this is the role for you.
