Job Description:
Senior Interface Analyst
We are seeking an experienced Senior Interface Analyst to support enterprise integration initiatives across healthcare and insurance-related systems. This role is responsible for leading interface design, implementation, troubleshooting, and ongoing support of complex data exchanges between internal and external systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with interface analysis, XML/XSD, web services, APIs, data exchange protocols, SQL, and healthcare integrations, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
  • Gather, analyze, and validate interface requirements with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
  • Design, document, and maintain interface schemas, specifications, record layouts, and file formats.
  • Define and document web service specifications, including SOAP, REST, and API request/response structures.
  • Participate in design reviews, testing walkthroughs, and implementation approvals for new and enhanced integrations.
  • Coordinate and support UAT, end-to-end testing, and validation of interfaces, data exchanges, and web services.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot secure file transfer processes (SFTP/FTP) and related data exchange mechanisms.
  • Manage file transfer schedules, encryption protocols, access controls, and integration security requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve interface, connectivity, data transfer, and production support issues.
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, vendors, and support teams.
  • Support data extraction, reporting, and integration processes across enterprise systems.
  • Partner with infrastructure and security teams to coordinate network, gateway, and environment changes for integrations.
  • Support and troubleshoot cloud-based integrations hosted in AWS and Azure environments.
  • Research and evaluate emerging integration technologies, API management solutions, and interoperability standards.
  • Own interface initiatives from requirements gathering through implementation, deployment, and post-production support.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and leadership.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of IT experience with a strong focus on interface analysis, integrations, and data exchange.
  • Experience designing and supporting interfaces within healthcare, health insurance, or related environments.
  • Strong understanding of interface design, data structures, and system integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with XML, XSD, schema validation, and data exchange technologies.
  • Experience with SOAP and REST web services, APIs, and request/response analysis.
  • Proficiency with SQL and database validation techniques.
  • Experience with secure file transfer protocols such as SFTP and FTP.
  • Knowledge of encryption, decryption, and Linux/Unix environments.
  • Experience creating technical specifications, requirements documentation, and interface design documents.
  • Strong business analysis skills and understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
