Financial Systems & Data Analyst Opportunities

Position Summary: RM Advisory Services LLC is seeking FIVE experienced professionals to support Finance system implementation, functional testing, and asset data quality initiatives. Selected resources will partner with finance leaders, business users, subject-matter experts, and technical teams to strengthen system reliability, data integrity, and end-to-end process performance.

The Five Positions will be broken out into these focus areas:

1. Functional Tester - General Ledger

    Deep functional expertise in GL, including journals, cross-validation rules, allocations, and period close.

    Working knowledge of AP, AR, and Asset Management.

    Experience validating R2R and related P2P, O2C, and A2R process impacts.

    Ability to verify GL integrations and financial reporting outputs across modules and external systems.

2. Functional Tester - Accounts Receivable/Billing

    Deep functional expertise in billing, receipts, collections, and the Order-to-Cash cycle.

    Working knowledge of GL journals and close, AP invoices and payments, and asset capitalization and depreciation.

    Experience testing unit, system, and full end-to-end scenarios across AR/Billing and connected modules.

    Ability to reconcile delivered and custom reports and confirm data completeness and accuracy.

3. Functional Tester - Accounts Payable & Expense

    Deep functional expertise in AP invoices, payments, supplier management, and Procure-to-Pay.

    Strong experience with Expense Management, including templates, expense types, approvals, and advances.

    Working knowledge of GL, AR, and Asset Management.

    Experience validating P2P, O2C, and A2R scenarios, integrations, and reporting outputs.

4. Functional Tester - Asset Management - Two Positions

    Deep functional expertise in asset capitalization, depreciation, and Acquire-to-Retire processes.

    Working knowledge of GL, AP, and AR/Billing.

    Experience validating P2P, A2R, and R2R testing cycles and related data flows.

    Ability to confirm asset-related integrations, reports, and accounting results across Oracle modules.

Senior Financial Systems Analyst - Common Responsibilities

    Analyze WMATA business processes across General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Asset Management (AM).

    Translate business requirements and process flows into detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.

    Perform unit, system, and end-to-end testing in Oracle Financials Cloud.

    Validate applicable business cycles, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Record-to-Report (R2R), and Acquire-to-Retire (A2R).

    Confirm data accuracy, business-rule compliance, integrations, external interfaces, and delivered or custom Oracle Cloud reports.

    Manage defects in JIRA or a similar tool, collaborate with business and technical teams, and independently lead assigned testing efforts.

Education & Required Experience - Senior Roles

    Bachelor's degree in a relevant business or technical field.

    At least five years of relevant experience, including five or more years of hands-on functional testing in Oracle Financials Cloud.

    At least four years in a senior financial systems role supporting process improvement, system enhancements, upgrades, or implementation activities.

    Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, the quality-assurance lifecycle, defect management, integrations, and financial module interdependencies.

    Ability to build comprehensive test coverage and communicate findings clearly, supported by strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications - Senior Roles

    Experience with PeopleSoft Financials.

    Experience supporting ERP implementation, transformation, or production-support engagements.

    Familiarity with Procurement, Treasury, and Projects/PPM modules.

Relevant experience with Metro, transit or transportation organizations, or other public-sector environments
