Job description

Charter Manufacturing is a fourth-generation family-owned business where our will to grow drives us to do it better. Join the team and become part of our family!

POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:

Responsible for the administration, optimization, and strategic development of Finance’s core systems, including Newgen, ImpactECS, Hyperion, Concur, and Trintech. Serves as the primary Finance system administrator and subject‑matter expert, ensuring each platform is stable, effectively governed, and aligned with Finance’s operational and strategic priorities. Shapes and executes the Finance systems strategy. The role will partner with Finance, Digital, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, increase automation, enhance data quality, and create a more connected Finance technology ecosystem.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • Three or more years of experience supporting or configuring enterprise business applications.
  • 4–6 years of progressive experience in Finance Systems, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Accounting, Finance Technology, Business Systems Analysis, or a related field, with demonstrated experience administering and optimizing enterprise financial systems.
  • Experience supporting system implementations, enhancements, testing, integrations, or process redesign.
  • Experience with automation, workflow tools, data visualization, or process‑improvement methodologies is preferred.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively across cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across Finance, Digital, business units, vendors, and leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining system concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Self‑starter and ability to work independently and follow direction with proven skill in organization, problem‑solving, work planning, attention to detail, follow‑through and follow‑up.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience administering or configuring enterprise workflow or SaaS systems (e.g., Newgen, ImpactECS, Hyperion) or Oracle EBS.
  • 6–8 years of experience administering and optimizing enterprise Finance systems (e.g., Hyperion, Concur, Trintech, Newgen, ImpactECS, or similar platforms), with demonstrated success leading system enhancements, automation initiatives, integrations, and strategic Finance technology improvements.
  • Strong understanding of core Finance processes, including accounts payable, financial close, account reconciliations, management reporting, cost accounting, planning, and expense management.
  • Experience in analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to produce business recommendations.
  • Familiarity with data reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL).
  • Experience managing enhancement cycles, testing, and release management for business systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance system configuration, process optimization, and user experience.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and collaboration across digital platforms.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Serve as the primary system owner and subject matter expert for Finance‑owned systems, ensuring continuity of knowledge, effective governance, and operational reliability through the administration of system configurations, workflows, user access, security roles, approval hierarchies, master data, and recurring system activities. Ensure processes are evaluated end to end rather than optimizing individual system activities in isolation. Evaluate emerging technologies, AI capabilities, and intelligent automation opportunities to improve Finance processes and decision support. Develop and maintain a multi‑year Finance systems roadmap aligned with the broader Finance strategy and transformation priorities. Partner with the Accounting COE, Cost Accounting COE, FP&A, business units, Digital, and business process experts to understand process needs, identify system‑enabled improvement opportunities, and translate business requirements into achievable system solutions and configurations. Partner with Finance technology vendors to manage system performance, enhancements, integrations, and future capabilities, ensuring solutions continue to support evolving Finance processes and transformation priorities. Support the transition of Finance work by ensuring systems, access, workflows, and documentation are ready for future‑state ownership. Promote and sustain the right usage of automation tools to systematically enhance error‑prone human activities and prioritize activities where automation delivers measurable business value. Provide guidance to Finance teams on system capabilities, recommended practices, and potential solutions. Provide training and ongoing support to system users while building broader capability and reducing reliance on informal system knowledge. Translate Finance’s strategic objectives into system capabilities, enhancements, integrations, and technology investments. Partner with Finance leaders and process owners to prioritize system enhancements based on business value, risk, capacity, and strategic alignment. Provide technical design review, validation, and feedback on proposed solutions to ensure long‑term functionality, sustainability, and data integrity. Lead and coordinate enhancement or sprint planning sessions to manage system updates, user requests, and release cycles for finance‑owned systems. Follow Environmental, Quality and Safety Management System procedures and requirements. Ability to meet the essential job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, as outlined in the job description.

  • We offer comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits, along with a 401(k) plan that includes employer matching and profit sharing.
  • Additionally, we offer company‑paid life insurance, disability coverage, and paid time off (PTO).
