Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking a Senior Financial Systems Analyst with deep experience in Aderant Expert to support and enhance the firm’s financial systems environment for our client's office in Miami, FL.
As one of the team’s subject-matter experts, this role works closely with Finance, Accounting, Billing, and IT to ensure that Aderant and its integrated applications operate reliably and efficiently.


This position plays a major role in supporting the Finance Department’s data, reporting, and analytics initiatives, including SQL-based reporting, dashboard development, data integrity, and system integrations.
Essential Functions:

Financial Reporting, Data & Integrations.

  • Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and SSRS reports to support financial reporting needs.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data across Aderant and integrated systems.
  • Partner with Finance leadership to enhance reporting capabilities, including dashboards, KPIs, and profitability analysis.
  • Assist with data warehouse initiatives and optimize data models for financial applications.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis for Finance, Accounting, and leadership teams.

Aderant Systems Support & Administration.

  • Configure, support, and enhance Aderant Expert in the Sierra cloud, including billing, collections, time entry, and financial modules.
  • Customize forms, inquiries, workflows, and rules using Aderant Classic and Framework tools.
  • Troubleshoot Aderant issues and resolve complex reporting or data discrepancies.
  • Support upgrades, patches, and new module implementations in coordination with IT and vendors.
  • Maintain user and matter security within Aderant.

Systems Modernization & Project Work

  • Participate in the testing and deployment of financial systems and third-party integrations.
  • Support system upgrades, enhancements, and optimization initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automate processes, and enhance system performance.
  • Document system specifications, data mapping, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Collaborate with business partners to translate requirements into functional and technical solutions.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong proficiency in SQL Server, stored procedures, SSRS, and data modeling.
  • Experience with data warehouse design, ETL pipelines, and optimized data models.
  • Proficient with Aderant customization tools, including Classic, Framework, and DocuDraft.
  • Proven ability to support integrated legal financial systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Ability to translate business needs into system solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and documentation quality.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 8 + years of experience supporting financial systems in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Aderant Expert, including configuration, support, and integrations.


Physical Demands:
