Hands-on with numbers, sharp on the details, and ready to dig into real estate finance? Prime Group is looking for a Construction Financial Analyst to support financial analysis and reporting across our construction and development projects. 

Job Summary 

The Financial Analyst – Construction provides in-depth financial analysis for Prime Group's construction and development projects, with a focus on evaluating financial performance, rates of return, working capital, and investment performance throughout the construction lifecycle. This role plays a key part in helping the organization make informed, data-driven decisions on active and upcoming construction ventures. 

What You'll Do 

Including but not limited to: 

  • Analyze actual construction project performance against financial forecasts and budgets 

  • Collaborate with Operations and Construction teams on business strategy, pricing, and contract reviews 

  • Assess the financial performance of construction assets, both current and future 

  • Prepare proformas and conduct financial analysis for new and ongoing construction projects 

  • Conduct due diligence for new construction projects and provide investor and bank reports 

  • Review Capital Expenditure requests for ROI and cash payback 

  • Track and analyze construction draw schedules, budgets, and cost variances 

  • Prepare internal financial reports for leadership 

  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects and evaluate cost-saving proposals from Operations 

  • Perform additional duties as required 

What You Bring 

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 

  • 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within construction or real estate 

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and financial/accounting systems (e.g., Sage 300) 

  • Ability to interpret business documents, write clear reports, and present information effectively 

  • Strong math skills, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and probability 

  • Ability to solve practical problems, interpret instructions, and manage diverse issues 

  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills 

  • Ability to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment
