At JBT Marel Wenger, we are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join our team in Sabetha, US. This is a key leadership role, the Senior Finance Manager will report to the NA Finance Director and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the business unit. The Senior Finance Manager will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the business unit. This will include direct responsibility for finance, forecasting, strategic planning, and site related accounting functions.

As a trusted business partner, the Senior Finance Manager will work closely with operational and commercial leaders to provide financial insights, improve profitability, and support sustainable growth. The role combines hands-on financial management with strategic oversight, ensuring alignment with global standards while addressing local business needs.

This position offers the opportunity to play a critical role in shaping financial strategy, optimizing processes, and contributing to the continued success of a global organization transforming the future of food.

Key Job Tasks:

Strategy

  • As a true business partner to the Site Director, assess organizational performance against both the annual budget and the business units long-term strategy.
  • Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the Site Director and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations.
  • Assist in establishing yearly objectives and meeting agendas, and selecting and engaging outside consultants (auditors).

Executive Management

  • Serve as a member of site leadership team.
  • Participate in key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives, operating model and operational execution.

Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Prepare and maintain regular financial planning reports; Monthly profit and loss forecast by division (vs. budget).
  • Complete analysis of financial results and develop recommendations (strategic and tactical).
  • Develop and execute analysis of various business initiatives (e.g., opening new operations, asset acquisition, new service launches).
  • Develop and maintain capital budget.
  • Assist in development of financial planning and analysis exercises/reports.
  • Participate in calls with Division and Corporate Management.

Finance

  • Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
  • Oversee cash, and asset management.
  • Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into the organizations operations and business plans.

Planning

  • Coordinate the development and monitoring of budgets.
  • Develop financial business plans and forecasts.

Team Management

  • Manage work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic.

Cash Management

  • Oversee weekly cash management and approve weekly payables.
  • Oversee AR management and provide support to collections activities.

Risk Management

  • Monitor all open legal issues involving the business unit/industry
  • Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.

Who are you?

Education & Experience:

A Bachelors degree in business administration, accounting, or finance with C.P.A and/or M.B.A is required. At least ten years of experience in financial management within a manufacturing facility with increasing responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning. Cost accounting experience is highly recommended. Knowledge of database and accounting computer application systems to supply the most accurate financial information.
