Job Summary
The Senior Finance Manager leads the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of Program Finance functions. The position serves as a key leader in financial planning and analysis. Their primary responsibility is to oversee the financial operations of the company, ensuring that financial strategies align with the overall business objectives. By analyzing financial data and trends, the Senior Finance Manager helps guide decision-making processes that drive the company's growth and profitability.
Primary Job Functions
  • This role will need to effectively interact with multiple levels of leadership within the organization including SBU and Corporate Leadership.
  • Lead in development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP). Lead monthly financial reviews of PSRs, transactional Details, proactively work with Program Management in supporting the programs' financial performance and requirements.
  • Comfortable making recommendations and presenting financial analysis to Senior Management.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Analyze variances of margin, operating activities and current/past trends in key performance indicators.
  • Ensure project setup within JAMIS meets the needs of both the company and the contract's reporting needs. Ability to understand/communicate contract financial reporting requirements.
  • Provide financial decision support to stakeholders focused on minimizing risk and maximizing return of limited resources.
  • Financial monthly close experience (program focused) to include labor accruals, sub accruals, other vendor accruals, and SOX compliant revenue recognition.
  • Knowledge of Indirect Pool Structures, including, but not limited to PMO rates, fringe rates, overhead rates, and G&A rates.

Education, Experience and Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or related field
  • 10+ years' experience in program finance/related experience, 14+ years of related experience can substitute for a degree
  • 3+ years' experience in a supervisory role

Working Conditions
  • Work environment is a typical office setting.
  • Physical demands include prolonged sitting, intermittent standing and walking, and occasional bending reaching and lifting.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
  • MS Excel experience required.
  • Experience with GovCon ERP's and project structures
  • Ability to understand Government contracts, with experience in FFP, Cost Reimbursable, T&M type contracts
  • Construction, BOS and O&M knowledge.
