Job Description TITLE: Senior Field Service Engineer Comp: $70,000-$90,000 Location: Indianapolis, IN Our client is seeking immediate assistance in identifying a candidate for a Senior Field Service Engineer direct hire position in Indianapolis, IN. Responsibilities: Review installation requirements with customers prior to machine shipment to ensure site readiness and compliance. Oversee on-site installation and assembly of new machines at customer facilities.

Inspect, adjust, start up, and demonstrate newly installed equipment, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards. Train customer personnel on safe setup, operation, controls, and routine maintenance. Independently diagnose, repair, and service equipment on-site and remotely with minimal supervision.

Provide technical support via phone and email when not traveling. Deliver warranty and non-warranty service, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer training. Recommend parts, accessories, and services to support safe and efficient equipment operation.

Conduct regular customer visits to observe machine performance, identify service needs, and build key service relationships. Document service activities, expenses, and technical reports accurately and in a timely manner. Escalate non-standard requirements, safety concerns, or customer dissatisfaction to management as needed.

Travel is primarily pre-scheduled, with occasional emergency service calls. Required Skills & Qualifications: Associate or bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience. 5+ years of field service experience supporting CNC machines or similar equipment.

Strong understanding of CNC machine assembly, teardown, and mechanical systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation. Strong communication skills, with the ability to guide customers through technical issues in person or remotely.

Willingness to travel approximately 50-75%. TERMS: This is a direct hire position that pays from $70,000 - $90,000/yr. #ENG123.
