The Senior Business Intelligence Developer is a key member of the Enterprise Data & Reporting (EDR) team responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting enterprise reporting and business intelligence solutions.

This role partners with Business Intelligence Analysts, business stakeholders, data engineers, and technical teams to deliver reporting and analytics solutions that support the Bank's strategic and operational objectives.

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer serves as an experienced technical contributor responsible for the development of Power BI reports, semantic models, paginated reports, SQL queries, and other business intelligence assets. This role provides technical guidance and mentoring to Business Intelligence Developers while supporting established development standards and best practices.

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer is a key member of the Enterprise Data & Reporting (EDR) team responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting enterprise reporting and business intelligence solutions. This role partners with Business Intelligence Analysts, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver reporting solutions that enable data-driven decision making across the Bank.

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer serves as an experienced technical contributor responsible for developing Power BI reports, semantic models, paginated reports, SQL queries, and other business intelligence assets.

Accountabilities:Responsibilities/Duties/Function/Tasks:

Review documented report specifications and collaborate with stakeholders to clarify business requirements. Design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI reports, dashboards, scorecards, and datasets aligned with business requirements. Build and maintain Power BI semantic models utilizing enterprise dimensional modeling standards and best practices. Develop complex DAX measures, calculated columns, KPIs, and performance-optimized reporting solutions. Use Power Query (M) to extract, transform, and prepare data from enterprise source systems. Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and other database objects to support reporting requirements. Develop and support paginated reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Perform unit testing and validation procedures to ensure data accuracy, quality, and completeness. Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex reporting and data-related issues. Support Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities. Collaborate with Business Intelligence Analysts, business stakeholders, developers, data engineers, and external partners to deliver reporting solutions. Participate in report design discussions and recommend technical approaches that align with enterprise standards. Conduct peer code reviews and contribute to development best practices. Assist in establishing and maintaining reporting development standards and documentation. Support and mentor Business Intelligence Developers through knowledge sharing and technical guidance. Create and maintain technical documentation in accordance with Enterprise Data & Reporting standards. Identify opportunities to improve reporting performance, usability, scalability, and maintainability. Support business users with report functionality and data-related questions as needed. Stay current on emerging technologies, including Microsoft Fabric, Power BI enhancements, and business intelligence best practices. Perform other project and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in SQL Development and Business Intelligence development. 3+ years of experience developing reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI. 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, SSRS, and SSIS. Experience developing and supporting enterprise reporting solutions. Experience working within structured software development lifecycle practices. Experience with Microsoft Fabric preferred. Strong knowledge of SQL development, query optimization, and database concepts. Experience developing Power BI semantic models and understanding dimensional modeling concepts. Experience creating Power BI reports, dashboards, and paginated reports. Knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), and data transformation techniques. Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration principles. Familiarity with source control and deployment practices utilizing Azure DevOps or GitLab. Understanding of Business Intelligence and data warehousing concepts. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders. Strong organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business needs. Results-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.

Compensation Range:

Annual Salary: $91,258.00 - $108,369.00 This salary range represents the Bank’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of hire. Offer to be determined by selected applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills & abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. This role is also eligible to participate in the Bank’s annual incentive plan.
