Job description

Senior Business Development Manager (Germany)

Are you passionate about safeguarding countries, societies, and businesses from hybrid threats?
Look no further! Our rapidly scaling company is committed to this crucial mission, collaborating with some of the world’s most influential organizations, including NATO and the EU.
If you’re ready to join a high-impact team shaping the future of intelligence and security, we invite you to become part of our journey. Join us and help defend the digital world with purpose and innovation!

Role Overview

We are looking for a senior business development professional to take full ownership of the German market — opening and developing relationships across the military, intelligence, and defence procurement community, converting those relationships into signed contracts, and building the partner ecosystem around them. In this role you would act as the face of Osavul in the region, engaging at the C-level and with senior military leadership.
The position suits someone who thrives on originating business rather than managing existing accounts — a person who already understands who buys, who signs, and who influences within Germany's defence and intelligence establishment, and who is motivated by bringing new deals to the table.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and execute the business development strategy for Germany, focused on the Ministry of Defence, armed forces, and intelligence agencies.
  • Take responsibility for generating pipeline independently, identifying and initiating opportunities, guiding them through the full sales cycle, and bringing them to close.
  • Establish and own relationships with decision-makers, budget holders, and procurement stakeholders, translating military and intelligence interest into funded, contracted business.
  • Build an ecosystem of defence partners in the region.
Represent Osavul at the C-level as the senior figure for the market.
  • Lead proposals, tenders, contracts, and negotiations through complex public procurement processes.
  • Maintain sales process hygiene: CRM discipline, accurate forecasting, regular reporting to leadership, and consistent follow-up with customers and internal teams.
Requirements
  • 10+ years in international IT / cybersecurity / cloud / intelligence sales.
  • An established network within Germany's defence and intelligence community, extending beyond IT and CIO functions. You are familiar with the procurement landscape across the armed forces and the agencies — who the buyers are, who shapes their decisions, and how budgets are released. Given the nature of the role, local presence and embeddedness in this ecosystem are essential.
  • Demonstrable partnerships or closed deals with the Bundeswehr.
  • Proven record closing large IT / Cyber / Cloud projects (>€10M), with a typical deal size consistently in the millions rather than as an exception.
  • Comfortable with long, multi-year public-sector sales cycles.
  • Able to represent the company credibly at the C-level and with senior military leadership.
  • Strong language and presentation skills.
  • Willing and able to work as a self-employed contractor, operating independently with minimal supervision.
We Offer
  • Opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven startup and support prestigious clients, including governments worldwide, enterprise clients, and leading NGOs in tackling global security challenges.
  • Autonomy and freedom to drive experiments and bring your own ideas to life.
Excited to work together on your next project?
