Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite technical and end-user support in a Windows and Mac environment. This is a short-term W2 contract opportunity expected to last approximately 2–3 months.


The technician will provide hands-on deskside support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, assist users with day-to-day technical problems, and support the deployment and configuration of laptops, desktops, peripherals, and other end-user devices.


Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite desktop and end-user technical support.
  • Troubleshoot Windows and macOS hardware, operating system, application, and connectivity issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop, monitor, docking station, printer, and peripheral issues.
  • Install, configure, deploy, and replace end-user computer equipment.
  • Perform hardware and software troubleshooting and break-fix support.
  • Assist with software installations, updates, and configuration.
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and Office applications.
  • Assist users with login, password, account access, and connectivity issues.
  • Perform PC/Mac setup, imaging, deployment, and refresh activities as required.
  • Provide professional, customer-focused support directly to end users.
  • Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and equipment changes in the ticketing system.
  • Escalate issues to appropriate support teams when necessary.
  • Follow client IT procedures, security requirements, and service-level expectations.


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Desktop Support, Deskside Support, or End User Support experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Windows 10/11 and macOS environments.
  • Experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, docking stations, monitors, and peripherals.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Experience with hardware/software installation and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, password resets, user accounts, and device management is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to work independently in an onsite end-user environment.
  • Must be available for the full 2–3 month W2 contract assignment.
