The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico:

This position leads enterprise-wide operational support for RTX’s virtual computing environments, including VDI, engineering compute platforms, and virtualization infrastructure. The Sr. Manager oversees a team responsible for delivering reliable, secure, scalable, and sustainable virtual platforms that enable business agility. The role partners across technology and business teams to develop strategies, roadmaps, standards, and best practices; drive platform standardization and operational excellence; and improve customer experience. Key responsibilities include managing KPIs, evaluating solution supportability, strengthening cross-platform capabilities, and ensuring consistent support across domains.

Success requires strong leadership, technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence stakeholders while driving innovation, continuous improvement, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

What You Will Do
  • Build strong partnerships across Enterprise Digital Technology and business organizations to understand needs and align virtualization strategies.
  • Lead the development of technology roadmaps, standards, and best practices for virtualization and related platforms.
  • Drive continuous improvement, platform resilience, and customer satisfaction across global operations.
  • Influence enterprise architecture and technology decisions through evaluation of solution options and articulation of value to technical and executive stakeholders.
  •  Ensure high availability, security, scalability, and cost-effectiveness across all virtual platforms.
  • Develop team capabilities through cross-training, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
  • Support business growth, new program onboarding, and emerging requirements through scalable operational processes.
  • This position will reference written work instructions for guidance with daily job activities. Work instructions are available in English only.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
  • Proven ability to partner with customers and senior leadership to provide oversight, ensure deliverables are met, and drive accountability for key milestones.
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver reliable operational platforms in global production environments.
  • Experience supporting virtual desktop infrastructure in medium to large enterprise environments.
  • Experience working with virtualization technologies and architectures across compute, network, storage, application, and automation layers.
  • Experience with strategic planning, technology roadmapping, and deploying sustainable solutions in complex, 24/7 production environments.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with senior technical and business leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, balance competing priorities, and deliver practical, supportable solutions in rapidly evolving environments.
  • Knowledge of UNIX/Linux/Solaris and/or Windows integration in medium to large-scale environments.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms and operational models for high‑availability environments.
  • Experience with enterprise storage technologies such as NetApp and PowerMax.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience driving adoption of cloud-based solutions, including identifying and implementing use cases that deliver measurable business value.
  • Strong working knowledge of cloud architectures across private, public, and hybrid models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) spanning AWS, Azure, Oracle, and similar platforms.
  • Experience with VMware, Nutanix, and other virtualization technologies, with familiarity in hyperconverged infrastructure solutions.
  • Knowledge of networked storage platforms, including NetApp and PowerMax, specifically within hyperconverged environments.
