JOB DESCRIPTION
Candidates must be local to Acton, MA or San Diego, CA
We're seeking a Senior Content Producer to lead and scale content operations for our UX Content Strategy team, supporting content strategists and technical writers across multiple product experiences with our client.
This role is responsible for operationalizing how content gets planned, created, reviewed, governed, and shipped across digital products. You will own end-to-end content workflows, tooling, and systems, ensuring content is delivered efficiently, consistently, and at high quality.
The ideal candidate is equal parts content operations leader, program manager, and systems thinker-someone who thrives on bringing structure to ambiguity, building repeatable processes, and enabling teams to do their best work at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Content Operations & Workflow Management
Own and evolve end-to-end content production workflows across product teams-from intake and planning through publishing and iteration
Establish and maintain operating models for UX content and technical documentation
Build scalable systems for content intake, prioritization, resourcing, and tracking
Ensure visibility into content work through roadmaps, dashboards, and reporting
Program & Project Leadership
Lead complex, cross-functional content initiatives spanning product, design, engineering, legal, and compliance
Partner with UX, Product, Engineering, and Research to ensure content is integrated early and throughout the product lifecycle
Remove blockers and drive alignment across teams to keep work moving forward
Tools, Systems & Infrastructure
Manage and optimize content tools and platforms (e.g., CMS, design tools, project management systems, content inventories)
Define and implement content governance, standards, and documentation systems
Content Quality & Governance
Ensure consistency in voice, tone, terminology, and UX writing standards across product experiences
Operationalize review and approval processes
Maintain systems for content audits, QA, and ongoing optimization
Scaling Content Operations
Establish scalable processes that support increasing product and team complexity
Create frameworks that enable consistency while supporting diverse product experiences
Drive clarity in roles, responsibilities, and handoffs across teams
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
Define and track content performance and operational metrics (e.g., throughput, cycle time, quality, engagement)
Identify inefficiencies and continuously improve workflows, tools, and team practices
Advocate for data-informed decisions in content and experience design
Required Leadership & Collaboration Skills
Proven ability to influence and align cross-functional teams
Strong systems thinking with the ability to connect strategy to execution
Excellent communication skills, with experience working across design, product, and engineering
Track record of building operational clarity in complex, ambiguous environments
Ability to advocate for content as a critical part of the user experience
Required Skills & Competencies
Deep experience in content operations, content production, or UX operations
Strong program and project management skills across multiple workstreams
Experience with CMS and CCMS platforms (e.g. Madcap IXIA), design tools (e.g., Figma), and work management tools (e.g., Jira, Monday)
Understanding of UX writing, technical writing, content design, and product development processes
Experience establishing content governance, standards, and scalable systems
Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive design practices
Strong attention to detail and ability to balance strategy with execution
Education & Experience
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
3-5 years of experience in content production, content operations, UX content, or related fields
Experience working within product, UX, or digital experience teams
Preferred
Experience supporting or embedded within UX teams
Experience building or scaling content operations functions
Background in product-led organizations or complex digital ecosystems
