Hybrid 1 day per month (1st Monday of each mo) in Woodlawn, MD

The role performs analysis, writes functional requirements, and manually tests complex changes to systems supporting the Medicare Secondary Payer office of CMS. You will impact the lives of Americans by working on systems that increase access to care, improve health outcomes, and control costs.

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident with an active Public Trust clearance. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $35.00 to $42.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze functional changes to existing or proposed systems.
  • Write functional and system requirements covering web front-end, database, web services, RESTful services, and batch processing.
  • Develop detailed test cases with prerequisites, data scenarios, steps, and expected results.
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate requirements elicitation, documentation, and user story development.
  • Prepare test data to satisfy test scenarios.
  • Perform manual testing and document evidence of expected results.
  • Open and manage defects through resolution and retest fixes.
  • Participate in peer reviews of requirements, test cases, technical design, and code/unit test results.
  • Provide estimates on upcoming work and support UAT efforts.
  • Troubleshoot and support Production Support as needed, including occasional off-hours for deployments and quarterly releases.
  • Provide guidance to less-experienced analysts as needed.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies and participate in special projects.
Experience Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in computer functional or systems analysis.
  • 3+ years writing test cases and performing manual test execution for batch and web front-end systems.
  • Proficiency with SQL queries and joins.
  • Experience with Quality Center.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of systems and functional analysis and software testing practices.
  • Proficiency in one or more relevant technologies aligned to assignment.
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering for generating and validating test cases, acceptance criteria, and traceability matrices preferred.
  • Working knowledge of prompt design and iteration to optimize AI output for business analysis and QA use cases preferred.
  • Experience working within Agile or Scrum frameworks preferred.
  • Knowledge of Medicare Secondary Payer preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
  • Candidate must have 3 of the last 5 years of work history in the US and be able to pass a public trust background investigation.
  • Work visa sponsorship will not be provided.
Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, certifications, training, or work experience.
