Job Description:

The Senior Capture Manager leads strategic new business pursuits, primarily for competitive USAF opportunities, while also supporting other DoD and international aviation markets. This role develops capture and proposal strategies, manages schedules and reviews, analyzes RFP requirements to ensure compliant, comprehensive proposals, and supports market assessments, business development efforts, and consultant coordination.

Essential Functions:

  • Work in difficult and challenging environment which can occur with new business pursuits. 
  • Develops clear, concise internal and external communications which are in both written and verbal formats. 
  • Maintains transparent, performance-based communications with all levels of leadership.
  • Develop and execute high level project plans.
  • Lead teams or groups in a matrix organization.
  • Manage and coordinate with project teams within the business area.
  • Demonstrated strong communication, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Give frequent presentations/updates to brief senior site leaders on pursuit progress/challenges.
  • Must be able to travel CONUS/OCONUS for proposal and/or business needs.
  • Based on business needs will work extended hours when required.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior business development/sales or military capture experience. 
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior business development/sales or military capture experience. 
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior business development/sales or military capture experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with competitive proposals with responsibilities for developing technical or pricing strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience with DoD and/or international proposal responses and/or evaluations.   
  • Demonstrated experience in aviation acquisition in the aerospace and/or defense industry.
  • Demonstrated experience developing RFPs, proposals or Statement of Work development.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of technical approaches involved in aircraft modification programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledgeable of subsystems and components used for aircraft modifications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of aircraft maintenance requirements.
