We are looking for a new Senior Capture Manager to lead major, complex, multi-discipline capture efforts on priority pursuits and partners closely with market leadership to advance strategic growth opportunities. This role is responsible for capture execution, competitive positioning, pursuit strategy, and coordination of teams through the capture lifecycle.
Reports To: Sector Capture Manager
Key Responsibilities
• Lead capture planning and execution for major priority pursuits.
• Develop capture plans, win themes, competitive analysis, risk assessments, and resource strategies.
• Partner with proposal managers and technical leaders to shape messaging, pursuit strategy, and client positioning.
• Guide proposal reviews, interview preparation, and internal debriefs.
• Mentor technical staff and support pursuit teams in applying capture best practices.
• Drive coordination across internal stakeholders to maintain pursuit momentum and readiness.
Success Measures
• Capture delivery quality and adherence to governance expectations.
• Strength of pursuit strategy, competitive positioning, and team alignment.
• Consistency of process execution and mentoring support.
• Contribution to successful advancement and outcomes on strategic pursuits.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5-7 years of industry experience in capture, proposal leadership, or business development.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex pursuits and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong strategic thinking, facilitation, and communication skills.
Key Performance Indicators:
• Capture strategies, plans, and deliverables completed prior to RFP for ≥95% of pursuits
• Drives development of capture plans and required pre-positioning activities completed prior to proposal phase
• Drives pursuits to Blue Team (pre-proposal) review stage for ≥90% of applicable pursuits
• Conducts Blue Team and executive leadership reviews to secure alignment and strategy sign-off
• Maintains consistent communication and follow-through across pursuit teams with minimal missed actions
• Responds to team requests within the same business day (≤24 hours)
• Applies sound judgment in resolving routine issues and escalating when needed.
• Interview logistics and coordination delivered without issue for ≥95% of interviews
• Status updates and reporting maintained accurately and on time for ≥95% of pursuits
• Demonstrates growing strategic contribution through development of capture inputs and effective coordination across stakeholders
• Mentor capture coordinators and contributes to best practices and sector-focused content.
