Job Title: Sr. Technical Designer - UGG Apparel
Reports to: Director, Technical Design - UGG Apparel & Accessories
Location: Goleta, CA (Hybrid)
Typically 3 times per week in office, Tuesday - Thursday
The Role
As a Sr. Technical Designer for UGG Apparel, you'll be the expert behind the scenes, creating and updating tech packs, ensuring construction standards are met, and maintaining the intended fit and aesthetic throughout the product life cycle. You'll leverage advanced pattern making skills and technical knowledge to drive efficiency and quality, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class products with the customer's experience at the forefront.

Your Impact
  • Build, update, and review technical specification packages for Men's, Women's, and Women's Plus apparel prototypes
  • Manage fit, pattern, spec, and construction communication with vendors throughout the product life cycle
  • Participate in all fit sessions, guiding models and teams to define and implement accurate feedback
  • Identify and resolve fit, pattern, construction, and balance issues, making clear recommendations to cross-functional teams
  • Benchmark standards through competitive analysis for fit, construction, and grading
  • Research and address customer feedback or returns, making updates as needed

Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree in Apparel Manufacturing, Product Development, Technical Design, Patternmaking, or equivalent work experience
  • 8-10 years' experience in a related field preferred
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Expertise in fit, multiple sizing categories, construction methods, and pattern making/corrections
  • Able to manage multiple or overlapping projects simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Excel and/or PLM system technical packages, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Knowledge of patternmaking software (Gerber, Lectra, or Optitex) preferred
  • Experience with 3D apparel design software preferred
  • Motivated team player and self-starter
