Position Summary
Senior Administrative Assistant
Academic Advising
Full-Time
Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide full administrative support for the Director and other professional staff
  • Provide budget support to Director
  • Coordinate purchasing, maintenance, and inventory of office supplies and equipment
  • Maintain knowledge of functions and services of academic advising
  • Provide support to drop-ins, incoming calls, and email
  • Maintain support of scheduling software and manage calendars for professional staff
  • Data entry in various administrative systems
  • Responsible for scheduling front desk coverage, answering phone lines, and supervising and training student employees
  • Process Declaration of Major forms
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated experience using online calendaring for multiple team members
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
