Tiger Soy, LLC / Semo Milling, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Processing Technician at our facility in Mexico, MO!

We are seeking team-oriented candidates with production/operator experience, and superior mechanical aptitude. This is a day shift position. Starting pay will be $20 - $23 per hour, depending on experience.


Processing Technician Job Description

I. Position Purpose

Reporting to the Facility Superintendent, this position is responsible for functioning as a team member of the process production crew.

II. Position Responsibilities and Duties

Performing duties as directed by others to ensure the following duties are managed accurately and timely:


Processing Responsibilities

  • Maximize process yield and throughput.
  • Execute production process control as directed by the Processing Lead.
  • Assist in machinery maintenance and repair
  • Work with Lab personnel to ensure quality control protocol is followed
  • Maintain production area sanitation standards at all times
  • Troubleshoot minor production problems
  • Monitor key indicator for quality, productivity, and utilization
  • Utilize the IMS and SPC where applicable
  • Responsible for quality of work within area
  • Maintain work environment in a clean and orderly fashion


Quality, Safety and Sanitation

  • Follow all Personnel Safety policies/procedures, including the use of proper PPE, as well as ensure the safe use of required tools and equipment
  • Follow all Food Safety, Quality Assurance, GMP's, Sanitation and general plant policies/procedures
  • Inspect products for overall appearance according to customer and QA/Food Safety requirements and communicate with supervisor when non-conforming products are present
  • Communicate all safety or environmental issues to supervisors/managers
  • At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties
  • Complete necessary paperwork for documenting process parameters and recordkeeping requirements


Open Communications to be a team-player and do other tasks as necessary.

III. Essential Skills

This position actively engages in daily operations and is engaged in supporting policies and procedures in accordance with the company Vision, Values, and Strategic Objectives.

Education Level: High School Diploma or GED

Related Experience: 2 years production experience, Superior mechanical aptitude, team oriented

IV. Physical and Mental Requirements

This position requires physical and mental alertness, attentiveness and stamina for the length of an entire 8-12 hour work shift each day. Occasional to frequent lifting of 50-100 pounds, frequent changing from a seated to standing position and occasional to frequent stair climbing are all physical demands of this position. This working environment for this position will include occasional to frequent work in both extreme cold and hot weather conditions.
