Type of Position: Full-time
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Hours per week: 40
Working hours: 8:00am-5:00pm

Job Summary
This role provides support for campus recruiting efforts in the network office. This position involves performing functions that allow the recruiting team to efficiently attract, recruit, select and contract college financial representatives. The Campus Selection Coordinator has an overall understanding of the recruitment and selection process. This position requires a high degree of organization, attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Selection Support
  • Maintain candidate files in our internal applicant tracking system (NM Talent)
  • Oversee reporting and tracking of recruitment activity and prepare reports as directed
  • Review resumes and post jobs through recruiting job boards (Handshake, LinkedIn, indeed, etc.)
  • Schedule and coordinate campus sponsored events that include but are not limited to career fairs, networking events, campus tabling events, etc.
Sourcing
  • Develop relationships with other Northwestern Mutual recruiters to share leads and best practices
  • Create online sourcing strategies to drive leads to internship opportunity
  • Attend and represent Northwestern Mutual at campus events
Selection
  • Specific selection process accountability to include but not limited to screening candidates, conducting initial interviews, administering selection tools, and guiding candidates through the selection process to bring on 10+ interns a year
  • Review resumes and schedule initial interviews
  • Communicate effectively about information and language regarding all aspects of the financial representative career and each step of the selection process
Accountability, Tracking, & Analysis
  • Report on weekly campus recruiting activity to recruiting team
  • Develop proficiency and use of home office-supported software to maintain candidate databases and accurate records of prospects to ensure efficiency of the selection process
  • Assist in the coordination of leadership team meetings and preparation of activity/results reports
  • Analyze recruiting ratios to identify inefficiencies in selection process; establish and implement improvements
Minimum Job Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport and influence, both in large groups and 1-on-1
  • Ability to work both independently and on a team
  • Possesses self- motivation and assertiveness to achieve goals
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to adapt to change and learn in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
